I bought this blender because I do a lot of Mexican cooking. Straining Chile skins is such a pain. This wonderful machine eliminates the need to do this. I'm beyond impressed.

My husband and I have been looking for a good blender to replace our expensive name brand mixer that was dying. We wanted one that was at least 1400 watt so we could get really smooth smoothies and nut milks. This one seemed to fit the bill! The contents of the box included:The blender motorThe blender cupThe cup lidA tamperA very small (very poorly translated) instruction manualUpon unboxing the thing, I noticed how light the motor was compared to my previous blender. I thought for sure there is no way this could be a 1800 watt motor. The housing and blender cup mount is a very similar design to the other, but it’s clearly made of cheaper material. The black outer body is actually a rough texture, so you can’t wipe it down with a paper towel without leaving lint behind. I recommend wiping it with a dish towel or cloth of some kind. The knobs are a lightweight plastic and the marker on the knob has clearly been hand painted on with white paint that I think was a little too thin. It looked poorly made. But I figured if it works, I can overlook that. The pitcher seems to be well made and sturdy, though the metal part on the bottom seemed a little pitted and like it was made of a lower quality metal. The plastic is thick, and it doesn't appear to have odd places where water and food bits could get stuck without being able to thoroughly clean them. There is a space below the blender blade that is difficult to reach to clean, but that’s true for pretty much all blenders with this kind of blade setup. I get around this by first running the blender with very, very warm (not super hot) water and a drop of soap. I let it go for a couple minutes just to get a good clean before I dump it and rinse it well. Then I wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Doing this after use also keeps that area under the blade clean and prevents gunk from building up.The tamper is made of low quality plastic. It is very thin, but I don’t think it really needs to be all that well made to do its job.The cup lid is also made of a lower quality plastic with a super thin rubber-type gasket to prevent leaking. It snaps on in a very specific way. Once it does, it’s very secure. I do worry that it’ll crack or break easily if not handled with care, so I’ve been hand washing with warm soapy water and avoiding the dishwasher because I have no idea if it will hold up. (The manual doesn’t say whether or not the blender cup, lid, or tamper is dishwasher safe.)Speaking of the manual… oy. The manual is small. Just a tiny tri-folded piece of paper that is poorly translated into English. It had just enough to let me know how to turn it on, the fill limit for the cup, how to use the timer feature, and how to clean it… kinda. No information about if it’s dishwasher safe. No information about proper use for different types of foods and thicknesses. DEFINITELY no recipes. To be fair, it does have some safety information… but it’s somewhat hard to understand because the translation is so poor. Luckily, I’ve used a blender before so I get the gist, but it’d be nice to know what I should and shouldn’t do with this specific blender. All that said, I was actually happy with the way the blender performed on the first few things I made. First, I made a quick smoothie with some fresh fruit, juice, water, and ice. It really blended well without any bits or chunks left.I also made two half-gallon batches of homemade almond milk. It did a GREAT job blending the soaked almonds into a beautiful pulp. I was able to extract amazing almond milk from it. I was very happy with how well it worked). It does seem to have some trouble with hard things like ice, but give it enough time and it’ll eventually get the job done. All in all, while it does appear to be a pretty cheap unit, it works pretty well! I’m not sure about its longevity, but I’m looking forward to putting it through its paces and seeing how long it’ll last.

I have had a vitamix for years but needed a new blender. I am happy with this purchase! I love the timer function. I will put all the smoothie ingredients plus ice in the blender then set for 1min. It comes out smooth without any chunks everytime. Easy to use and a good value for the money.

I borrowed this blender from a friend for a margarita night and kept putting off returning it to her because I liked it too much! Eventually, she came looking for the blender so I found it here and ordered it for myself. I mainly use it for smoothies and margaritas, but it’s awesome for blending soup and sauces, and does quick work of grains as well, as I make my own oat flour. This blender is a great item for a great price and “blends†in nicely with my kitchen!

My mother in law has made her own sofrito her entire life, and she is so very old. This machine cuts her workload by over 50% because the reservoir hold 1/2 gallon of SOFRITO!!! TRY IT ON TOAST! You "must" try it...Que Rico!
