These cost 1/3 of what Weber wanted for the same thing ($25 vs $75). They appear to be identical to the original ones on my grill. I can’t verify the material but it has the characteristics of stainless steel. The dimensions and thickness are identical to original. I’d buy them again but I don’t think I’ll have to!

This was a great buy, at a very good price, and I predict that they will last longer than the enameled ones that came with my Weber Genesis II E-310 grill.Some claim that these are not stainless, so let’s start with a little background on stainless steel.Stainless steel is normally considered not to be magnetic, however, basic types of austenitic stainless steel, like 304 and 316, possess paramagnetic characteristics. As a result of these properties, small particles can be attracted to powerful magnets (Picture No. 1) – These flavorizer bars are magnetic, but that’s not the same as saying they aren’t stainless steel!Stainless steel is also not supposed to rust, but basic types of austenitic stainless steel, like 304 and 316, may corrode easier in certain environments, e.g., when heated to a temperature of around 850 to 1,550 ℉. The carbon in the steel converts to grain boundaries which leads to corrosion (Picture No. 2). – These flavorizer bars do rust, when they sit over the burners, but again, that’s not the same as saying they aren’t stainless steel!So, even these are magnetic, and even though those 3 of mine sitting over the burners have gotten a layer of easily removable very fine rust, in the ∼2 months they have been in use, I still consider them to be at great deal better, than the original enameled flavorizer bars that my Weber Genesis II E-310 came with, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The Falvorizer bars on my Genesis II had begun to deteriorate after 5 years, particularly the central one. These new ones fit perfectly and look good. Time will tell if they hold up any better.

I searched long and hard to find replacements for the porcelain Flavorizer bars I had in my Weber Genesis II E-210 grill. This is a two burner grill that takes three Flavorizer bars. I could have replaced the three Flavorizer bars with genuine Weber parts but found the stainless steel replacement bars were very expensive. I carefully measured my old Flavorizer bars and found the dimensions exactly matched these aftermarket bars. Although they are meant for a larger grill as there are five of them in total, I installed three in my grill and will keep the other two for backup. They cost about a third the price of the Weber bars. They fit and work perfectly and let me explain why.After two years of heavy use, my old porcelain covered bars lost their covering and began to rust. The rusty bars would catch and hold the grill drippings much like a wick which created severe flare ups which incinerated by good steaks. This didn't happen when the bars were new. The drippings created the sizzle that flavored the meat and then they would roll off and fall below in the catch tray away from the flame. With a rusty bar this doesn't work but a stainless bar does. I filled the entire cooking surface with hamburgers that had quite a bit of juice runoff and, although a got some normal flareup when I turned the burgers, it quickly subsided and the food cooked as it should.I was a bit apprehensive when I bought these as another reviewer said they aren't up the quality of the original Weber bars. I am not sure I agree with this. They are a bit lighter in weight, but I think that is due to the fact the original bars were made of iron and were covered with porcelain which would yield a heavier bar. The thickness of the new stainless steels seem perfectly fine although time will tell it how well they hold up. Based on my few weeks of grilling with them, I am optimistic they will last.So, in summary, I recommend these. The quality good and they work well in my grill. Just make sure you measure carefully and get the right fitment for your grill.

This is a better than OEM part. Great thickness on the steel, certainly looks like it will hold up well.

Although looking perfect, first grill reduced the nice stainless steel finish to a brownish tinge. Time will tell if this is going to last or will simply rust away
