I am using this item to hang a shallow floe blue bowl roughly 5" across. Previous reviewers complained that the tines that hold the plate and show in the front are large and unattractive. They are 3/4" long so I can see why you might want to shorten them with a wire cutter. Since they are a golden brass hue and my bowl has gold accents I don't feel the need to do that. The package says this hanger is for items measuring 5" to 7". It is very tight on my little dish and I can't see the hanger stretching to even 6 inches. Someone else complained that they had to bend the top part of the hanger that would hang on your wall hook. That is not difficult to do, but you will definitely want to hang your plate on a hook, not just a nail in the wall. My little dish in an antique and I am unwilling to trust it to a stick on hanger. So I am glad that this hanger is available.

I wanted to display a little plate and found this item. Be sure to measure the plate you want to hang properly because mine fit perfectly. Easy to use and hang with little worry that the plate will fall from its spot. Lovely little artsy project.
