The bookend is smaller than a mass market paperback but can hold much larger books easily. I’ve hidden the bookend inside of books for a free standing look. They work perfectly for the look I wanted.

These are great book ends. They are small and very sturdy/strong. I needed them for my boys' bookcase. Most of his books are short.

I had to rearrange my kitchen counter due to a new Air Fryer that I purchased. My cutting boards used to lean against my toaster oven. They had to move, to between the coffee maker and a cookie jar. I staggered two book ends on one side with two on the other side. The cutting boards were about 6 inches inch in width. With the rubber stoppers on the bottom, the book ends stayed in place. With the short metal on the bottom of the book ends, they didn't extend to interfere with the coffee maker of the cookie jar.
