This is easily the best kitchen item I've purchased in YEARS! I was expecting the performance of those dinky plastic ones with a nicer look, but I got the performance you should actually be able to expect from such a nice looking, high quality tool.I recently became obsessed with eating oranges off my backyard tree and was eating at least 3-5 a day for several weeks. This tool absolutely added to the enjoyment I found in the ritual of plucking, peeling and eating these little balls of sunshine juice. I worked on perfecting my technique and changed it up a little at a time.It's not so sharp that I'd worry about a child over 8 or 10 using it (maybe do use the plastic ones for younger kids, just in case) but it's definitely sharp enough to make the job quick and easy.There aren't a lot of nooks and crannies, so a hot water rinse was fine if I planned to use it again that day, or a quick once over with a dish brush if I was putting it away.I'm thinking of getting a few of these for hostess gift baskets or just so friends can have a neat little tool that makes peeling oranges fun instead of tedious.

Ordered 18AUG23, Received 21AUG23 - This peeler was inserted in a small plastic bag which was then housed in a sturdy cardboard box (all sized accordingly). However, after removing the peeler from the box and bag, it looked liked this peeler may have been a returned item. There were small scratches here and there, some tiny nicks on the edge of the peeler (that would go between the fruit and the skin), and the handle had about an inch and a half scuff mark on the one side. The peeler was cleaned but not very carefully because I found "dirt" (dried fruit?) in some of the smaller, hard to clean areas. Because this peeler is stainless steel, I washed it in hot sudsy water, scrubbed all the nooks and crannies and then dried it, but left it on the counter top to dry more thoroughly overnight. The peeler is made really well and is extremely sturdy. I gave 4-stars because it was a returned item. But I do recommend the product highly.

I absolutely love this orange peeler. I keep one at home and one in my work bag so I can have an orange easily anytime I want.

Really nice tool for peeling oranges. I have been eating a lot of oranges lately and was just using a small knife to cut the skin and peel...which worked ok but really did a number on my fingers. It might not seem like this is much different, but the curved end does a surprisingly good job of getting under the peel without digging into the orange itself.

I was having a few issues when I first got it. It is a little awkward to hold. I was trying to use it like my old plastic peeler. Then I had a lightbulb moment and looked at the picture in the ad. Um, certainly it was pilot error. Love that it is easy to use and dishwasher safe. Sturdy and well made.

Escribo la reseña meses después de comprado, lo use mucho al principio, pero después de un tiempo poco a poco lo he dejado de usar por una opción más práctica de pelar cÃtricos que encontré en youtube con un paring knife.El utensilio no es tan práctico después de todo, parece que le hace falta filo y como los bordes son curveados no es tan fácil afilarlo, además que quita más tiempo y paciencia pelar un cÃtrico completo, concluyo que las reseñas de amazon USA resultaron ser ciertas, buen producto pero en mi caso no lo aprovecho tanto.

I figured "why do I need this", as I added it to cart. I mean, I figured the outside edge of a fork or a knife would do the trick but this made peeling oranges a breeze. I'm happy I bought it.
