This is the second time I've ordered this orchid bark. It's chunky and any orchid I've potted in it has thrived, but it is more pricey than your average orchid bark. If you're only looking to put a single orchid in a brand new batch of potting medium, it's definitely enough. I'd say there's enough for a repot-and-a-half. Not enough for two 6-inch pots though. You do get what you pay for in quality. I generally have to water abut twice a week in the first few months of using this, just until it breaks down enough to retain moisture better. But it depends on your light and temperature, too. Go by the color of the roots, you can't go wrong with that. Would buy again.

This is a very small bag with large chips, good enough for one small-orchid in a 5-7 inch pot.I wanted to replant a small orchid I’ve had, but the chips were a little too large for my purpose.Definitely not as expected. Nevertheless, the product is good.

The mix is great! The bag is little though. I am not going to complain for the price. I did use some to top off some of my other plants. Apparently gnats hate it so win win!

I had to re-pot an orchid and needed a nice mix and this fits the bill perfectly. I like the fact that it has perlite in it for water retention, but it's not too much for an orchid. Provides a nice mix of bark. I only needed enough for one pot so I was happy with the amount. It is a bit spendy if you needed to repot multiple plants, though.

This is a nice orchid mix that drains well, but when the package arrived (I’ll take partial blame here) I was way surprised by the small volume of mix. Very disappointed because I had orchids to repot - The description reads: Doter Orchid Potting Mix Orchid Bark, Mix Pine Bark and Perlite, Good Drainage and Water Retention (1 Quart) - I know that a quart is a measurement for liquid and didn’t, for what ever reason didn’t get the actual weight. That being said, there are many equal quality mixes at much better values available - wouldn’t buy again

I needed to transplant a small orchid. After watching several how-to videos I ordered this mix. It turned out to be very similar to the compound the plant was already in so it worked perfectly.

The bark is alright quality but was only enough to repot 3/4 of a pot for a medium sized orchid.
