After umpteenth years of using my Oreck XL Pro 5, the hose finally broke apart. I ordered this one as a replacement hose and LOVE the way it fits, the suction, the way the attachments fit. It's perfect!

My hose on my original Oreck compact vacuum came separated from the nozzles, so didn't need a new vacuum just a new hose part. It works and fits fine. Big win cause these vacuums are not cheap, but love the brand because it is so dependable. I got the Oreck XL set with the upright and the compact vacuum from Amazon. Great deal. Dependable brand too. I've had every vacuum name on the planet - this is a brand I trust.

The only thing I would like to see changed is for the hose portion to be longer. Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to do.

I don't know why people think I'm OCD about my floors, since they are ALWAYS dirty. So, I have to vacuum the floors alot. Also, while I try to be compassionate to daddy granddaddy spiders, they get carried away and leave webs EVERYWHERE. So I use my Oreck canister vacuum ALOT!When my hose broke I was freaking out. It meant I had to use the really short hose on my upright in conjunction with my Swiffer dusters. I went straight to Amazon and was able to find the right replacement hose in no time. It was VERY easy to attach. SPIDERS, DUST BUNNIES, STUFF ON COUNTERS AND UNDER MY FURNITURE, BEWARE!!

Admittedly I bought this for a different vacuum than it is made for however, it still is too short and too stiff to be useful. The ribbed hose does not stretch well at all and doesn’t facilitate the job of vacuuming - it makes the job more laborious.
