I used this kit to repair 2 stripped out threads that hold up the belly pan underneath my GX470. It gets a lot of use as every time you need to change the oil filter, the pan needs to come off and after 17 years, a few threads were worn out. After doing the repair, it worked just like new. The bolt threaded in smoothly and securely.This kit probably saved me an hour of labor if I had brought it to a shop so this kit easily paid for itself. Excellent value.It was easy to install with basic tools. I used an adjustable wrench to drive the tap as my T-handle was too bulky to fit.The helicoil lengths were just perfect for this job. Deeper repairs may need to look elsewhere.Time (and use) will tell how long these inserts last.Overall, very happy and I feel like I got my money's worth out of it so far.

Always a budget component when ordering tools off of Amazon, let's be honest. I needed to do a thread repair and this kit had the size I needed. Easy to use and decent quality. I'm not saying it is autoparts store or tool truck good, but for a shade-tree mechanic like myself it is great.

Much cheaper than the parts store versions. No problems and got the job done. Kit was larger than I expected. I like the case to keep organized. Wish it would’ve included the tap wrench and a spot in the case for one, but that would be my only EBI and why it’s 4 stars instead of 5.

This kit was perfect for my situation. I had stripped out an important threaded hole in an aluminum intake manifold. The kit was easy to use and only took me about 20 minutes to fix the problem. I highly recommend this seller's brand to anyone in this situation. The tools were sharp and did what they are designed to do. It is also a nice tool for my tool chest.

The taps didnt look that great, but worked just fine. Nerve wracking anytime you do these repairs, but came out fine.Dont know how many uses Ill get out of a specific size (tap), but its already worth the money.Saved me from buying a 500 balancer.

I purchased this kit to repair some threads in an aluminum block, and it worked marvelously. The drill bits are very sharp, and the tap cut like butter. Subsequently I drilled and tapped some steel exhaust, and while the tap worked harder, it still worked flawlessly. For the price I am blown away by how well this set works.

This is an excellent thread repair kit for metric sizes. This is the most common size as you would run into and each size contains enough inserts for many uses.

When you strip some threads and don't have anything to fix them you will regret not having those in your kit.Haven't used them often but when i did i was glad i had them.
