Hoping to save some money I bought first one, then another, off-brand vests from Amazon and promptly sent both of them back for refunds. They were both size XL, which should have fit me but neither did. Both were bulky and stiff. Both had very heavy batteries. One had a zipper that caught the fabric and got stuck.So I went ahead and ordered an Ororo in size XL. It arrived yesterday. Fits perfectly, fabric is soft and flexible, good zipper, battery is about half the size and weight of the cheaper brands, and unexpectedly it came with a charger (so I can send back the one I bought extra, expecting there to be none.) And it looks nice on me too - not like the bulky other vests that made me look like The Hulk.I'm charging the battery now, but I have the vest on already and it's keeping me warm in my cold, wood-heated house. I'll be testing out the heated features this weekend at a barn hunt trial.From what I'm experiencing with it so far, I'll definitely be keeping this vest.

I got this vest for Christmas and have absolutely loved it! The battery has held its charge for a really long time. There are three settings and the vest does get really warm. I usually have it at its hottest for a few minutes then move it down to the medium setting. It keeps me snuggly warm! I will be trying it out in really cold conditions in a few weeks- so I may update.

I live in Ohio and it is freezing right now, as expected.I bought myself a vest after hearing how much my sister loves her heated vest.This vest is wonderful! If I put a jacket over it, the warmth is amazing. It’s not enough in zero temps, but it’s perfect if you add a light jacket over it.The vest is ultra light and can be worn in any climate. If you get cold, just press the button.I bought another battery and I switch it out when si change the other one. But, I use the vest wherever I go now. So much that I bought another one in black.Best buy of the year!

The vest heats up quickly, and is nice and toasty, even at the lower settings (I rarely have to use the high heat setting, but live where cooler temps are generally in the 30’s F). It is stylish as well, and the battery pack is slim enough that it doesn’t produce a visible bulge. The battery lasts longer than I expected, but if you are intending on all day or high setting use, you may want to consider a second battery to insure non-interrupted comfort.This switch on my vest failed after owning the vest for about a year (a half year of actual use), but the customer service at Ororo was outstanding. I was surprised to receive a reply within an hour of my claim, despite the fact that it was outside of their customer service operating times, and they quickly had me in another vest.I’d have given five stars aside from the fact that the switch did fail after six months of use, but definitely five stars for the commitment to customer service.I absolutely still recommend this vest—I bought it due to knowing many people who use them (outdoor dog sports world), and have been very happy with years of use. It definitely makes the outdoors in winter a lot more enjoyable!(I was not compensated in any way for my review.)

I sit outside a lot in the winter to allow my dog to play with another dog. I am always layering on clothes and never warm. I got this vest and it is a game changer. It keeps my core so warm I sometimes have to turn it off. The rechargeable battery lasts a very long time. I've worn it for a couple hours, didn't recharge it, then wore it for a couple more hours and it never lost charge. It is kind of slow to charge, but as long as you charge it ahead of time, this isn't a problem. You can turn it on, off, and change the level of heat all with one button up toward the collar. This is great, as you don't have to unzip it or mess with the battery pack while you're wearing it.I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs and I got the medium. There is room underneath to wear a fat sweater, but I actually recommend wearing just a base layer under the vest because the closer it is to your body, the more warmth you feel. When I put a fat sweatshirt under it, I didn't feel the heat from the vest as much. Because of this, I think I could have ordered a size small. But if you have a larger chest, and are the same size as I am stick with the medium.It also has a bunch of pockets that zip closed! I can carry all my essentials such as my phone, chapstick, key, money, etc without carrying a bag. But if you put the vest under a coat or something, it's obviously harder to get into the pockets.10/10 would buy again...in fact, I got this for my dog's friend's mom so we are both toasty during doggie playtime.
