Being able to swap between floating, sink tip, and full sinking line is a great asset to have out on the water.

Ordered the Large Arbor Cassette which comes with 2 extra cassettes. The operation is pretty decent and the drag adjustment OK. As far as the cassettes go ...not sure how they would hold up in the sun over periods of time. Plus I would be careful not to drop these cassettes on concrete. For the price it is a good starter reel set up for those that may use both floating and sinking lines.

The deal looks great, we all use more than one type of line: floating, sink tip, intermediate sink, and different rates of full sink. I expected to get thee tra spools that allow a quick change of line, instead I get two plastic inserts without any instruction on how to quickly change lines. Orvis is cutting corners and cheating us!

Unlike the pictures it only comes with one cassette. The description says it comes with a case and it only comes with a cardboard box.

As a novice fly fisherman, the Orvis Clearwater is well built, good solid quality, and heads and tails above the first real I purchased. With this real I am now confident with my abilities as well as advancing my techniques/skills. To be honest, I do not believe I will have to upgrade to another real again (I am not a professional fisherman with unlimited budget). Bottom line, extremely happy with this purchase.
