I bought this as gift , that being said , I have many Redington reels and fly poles. I've gone wrong with buying them. I've caught many big and smaller fish , let's face it not every fish is a trophy. The same holds true for fly fishing reels and poles. But I've never gone wrong with Redington. So I'll always give high praise for their products.

Awesome reel! Caught several bull reds over 25lbs. and it performed much better than I could have imagined. The stickers are a cool feature also. Especially since my buddy and I have the exact same reel and rod.

It is solid and well made but it is also very small and the arbor is made from abs like plastic. Hopefully it will last. The drag only goes from tight to slightly tight so a fast running seafish could damage it or the line.

Box was clearly handled as a fragile box, as it wasnt in a hard case and there wasn’t a single dent or tick in the box
