I will begin by saying that I owned the exact same product before and it didn’t last me a long time. I decided to give the product another try because of the size. I have a large family of nine and needed something to warm as many tortillas as possible at the same time. Here’s what I’m going to do differently: 1. Never leave the fire on without anything on the comal, 2. Never scrub it with any type of sponge/scrubber, 3. Never wash it/wet it (unless extremely necessary -I’m ONLY using it to warm tortillas). Reasons why I’m NOT doingAny of the above mentioned: 1. The previous one I had was washed and scrubbed by a friend of mine and that immediately ruined the nonstick coating, 2. I noticed that if any particles of the tortillas stuck to the comal and were left untouched they would burn and disappear on their own without the need of washing it (Same idea as the self-cleaning oven on the stoves :) !!!). I hope this helps prolongue the life of this comal. In terms of size this one is the winner!

This was a gift for my Mom. It's just a wee bit bigger than I imagined so she has to hang it on the pot rack rather than leave it on the stove.

I like it, but the only thing is that you have to monitor the flame that its not too high otherwise you'll be eating burnt tortillas al the time.

Plenty of room for the tortillas. Can easily fit two at a time. even 3 if the tortillas are smaller. Definitely recommend for a big family.

There was a sticker on the center bottom of the comal. I removed the sticker and used it on the stove. It smelled like chemicals burning! Now there's a round burn mark on the bottom.The comal lifted up in the center creating a "bump", so now I have to use the center of the comal to warm up my tortillas as opposed to throwing a few on there at one time. Every time I use the comal it smells like chemicals. Not too happy with product.

Sólo traté de hacer una sincronizada con tortillas de harina con jamón y queso manchego y se pegó y rompió la tortilla, se supone que el acero al carbón no debe pegar los alimentos
