I bought this socket to do the rear hubs on my 1976 Ford F-250. It worked well. Some of these larger nuts have rounded corners and some have pointed corners. Be sure that you get the correct socket for what you have or it may not work. This OTC product is sturdily made. It has a 3/4" drive hole. You can get an adapter to fit other size drives. It is painted gray and is made in the U.S.A. The ad's photo is accurate. If you want to go cheaper, you can get a lighter, black one with a 1/2" drive, made in China, from NAPA @ $16.99 + tax. In my opinion, the OTC quality is worth a few dollars more. It is packaged in a clear preformed self-standing plastic case.

Great for 12k dexter axles on my 40' gooseneck trailer. I use it to take off and put on spindle nuts and torque 110-120 foot lbs. Also use it to take off and put on outside dust cover for oil bath axles. Perfect 2.5" socket and durable for what i use it for.

Great value. I looked all over in town for this socket and could not find it anywhere. This socket was a life saver. It did the job. It is kinda heavy thick metal, what you would expect of a quality tool. It seems like it would last a long time with regular use.

Good tool, I used it on a semi trailer hub and went up to 250lb/ft of torque while seating the bearings and not an issue at all.

This socket fit the rear axle nut on my '78 F-250 perfectly. Not a tool you need every day but certainly handy to have when you do.
