I bought some Govee lights and wanted to hang them out back. They were going to be hanging to low to walk under so my first thought was to use some pieces of treated 2x4 but they would have looked kinda dorky and then I'd still have to use hangers to attach the lights strands to the wood.Got to looking on Amazon and found things like these. Not sure why I chose this brand over others but it probably had to do with getting them the next day so I could get to work!Pros:Nice pack of four matching posts.Very sturdy and nice black coating.Easy install with just putting the bracket over the bottom of the post, attaching a small magnetic level to post, holding it still and driving four screws to secure each one.Nice built in hook kind of thing to easily attach the strands of wire too.These are holding some weight when draped across like 12 feet and no problems!Cons:Sort of disappointing that they give you silver screws when everything is black. I ditched the screws and used some nice black stainless steel screws. Maybe I should have given four stars instead of five. Pretty big over sight. I could have put the posts on the other side of the fence and I wouldn't see the silver screws but still... lol. However, they are just built great and look nice and I guess screws aren't a big deal.

I kept them up through all seasons, and they held up perfectly. I ended up only using two and they got the job done. It was very easy to install. Looks just like the photos.

Put these up on a cinder block wall to use as anchor points for sunshades and solar lights. They look good and no issues. Easy install and great value!

I ordered two different types of these at the same time. First thing is you need more than you think. The way my railing is on my deck they have to be put on the inside which makes the plate visible for the people on the deck. The product looks better at night but stands out during the day. I had to repurpose for string lights on 4x4 fence posts. They are pretty strong but I wouldn’t put tension on them. If you run a cable, I used sun shade cable which is similar to dog tie outs or laundry line. If you run your lights on a line you can have longer areas of separation with minimal sagging. Comes with hardware and open hook at top. They are painted metal, like gazebo material, time will tell on how fast they might rust.
