This is a great little ice bucket. I fill it and use it in our shed while gardening so I don't have to keep running back to the kitchen for more ice for my drinks. But it's nice enough to use at parties, etc. too. It holds just enough ice for a few people (not a party of 10 people or more), or to use next to wine bottles for those who like their wine a little colder. It's classy looking, especially if you have a lot of stainless steel appliances in your kitchen, and has nice features. I love that you can hang the ice grabber on either wide of it (just wish the guests could figure that out too, haha!)I review hundreds of products I buy on Amazon and rely on reviews from others a lot too to make my purchase decisions. I purchased this at full price and it was worth every penny! I only rate an item 5 stars if I would pay full price for it or be willing to give it as a gift. I do give 1 star (since you can't give 0) to items which are so bad that I throw away, return for refund or wouldn't want even if free. I try to mention all the pros and cons of products. Needed an ice bucket for party, but didn’t need a big or expensive one. Very sturdy, OXO has done well for me, kitchen gadget-wise. It holds as much ice as a hotel room bucket. I like the spikes at the bottom, which collects the melt. Holds enough for those that want ice in their drink, but not enough for large group to all have icy drinks. So if a large group on a hot day, you’ll probably need something bigger. The tongs fit nicely on the knob at the handle. I have no plans to use the little tray for lemon slices or whatever. I wound up using it to corral spoons for the condiments instead.

It’s small, which I knew but holds enough ice for 10 people needing to refill only once. The ice never melts and I like the little cup for lemons and limes. Theron’s have a nice grip to take hold of the ice. I love it.

Well, it is hard to beat OXO products in general, so I expected this to be a decent ice bucket. It didn't disappoint. It's not elegant by any means. There are definitely fancier ones out there, including OXO models. But this is a great everyday kinda ice bucket.So, about a month ago, my fridge died, and left me iceless. You quickly find out how much you depend on your ice maker when your fridge dies. In the middle of summer. In 100°+ F temps. I suffered ice withdrawal. My backup fridge didn't have ample room for ice cube trays and some kind of storage. Not to mention that ice cube trays anger me. Who designs these things?This was clearly an Ice Crisis (tm).I bought a countertop ice maker. (Buy it. Pro Tip: don't count on the drawstring to do anything but dump ice all over when you are getting it out of the freezer. Corollary Pro Tip: twisty ties or that awesome garden twist tie stuff that is coated wire. I use that stuff for everything. Fill bags only 1/2 to 2/3rd full. Use Twisty Method. No ice disasters.BUT..... not being able to just grab some ice out of the freezer to throw into my drink without fiddling with bags annoyed me immensely. I want EASY ice.Enter the OXO Good Grips Double Wall Ice Bucket with Tongs and Garnish Tray to save the day.I don't have a ton of open real estate on my countertop, so I didn't really want a 4L bin. I just needed something sturdy that wasn't too hideous to look at, and would keep enough ice to preserve my ice-sanity. This is perfect size.The garnish tray....I dunno how much that is worth. It's not super functional on a daily basis. For a party, yeah, maybe. But this ice bucket is kind of on the small size for a party. The little tray is kind of in the way of filling the ice bucket from the ice maker. Not a catastrophe. Can just remove it if you don't need it.I thought the tongs were going to be a joke, but they actually work GREAT for filling my water bottle of throwing a few cubes in a glass. My ice maker makes "large" and small bullet shaped ice, so this was a nice plus.It keeps the ice pretty well. It does start to fill up with water after a few (3 or 4 ?) hours. I did not time it, but by end of the day, you'll have a lot of water in there. My dogs love it. Nice and cold. So, I'd say it doesn't have superb insulation, but again, good enough for me to use through the day and just refill from ice maker as needed. For just me, it's exactly what I needed, and spot on.So, summary....it's gonna be on the small size for more than a couple of people unless you plan to refill it often. i.e. Party. Get something bigger. Tray is marginally useful, imho. Tongs work well. Nice size for countertop, especially if you lack space. Easy to clean. I like it.

Happy with the design and functionality of this ice bucket. Takes up little countertop space, like that the included tongs hang on the side. Agree with other reviewers that it’s not suitable as a standalone for large gatherings. But it works well for smaller gatherings (6-8). I keep an extra bag of ice on hand to refill if needed. Keeps ice for 6 plus hours.

Excellent ice bucket, highly recommend it. Don't sweat, and ice last a long time, the water goes to the bottom. Ice will last for hours. Best bucket yet.

Pour moi, le principal avantage de ce seau à glaçons par rapport aux autres c'est sont couvercle. Certes il n'est pas isotherme, mais il a l'avantage d'être à charnière, on n'a donc besoin que d'une seule main pour l'ouvrir et surtout on ne cherche pas un endroit sur une table déjà bien chargée pour trouver où le poser une fois qu'on l'a dans la main pour se la libérer. Pratique dans les soirées où on a toujours ce couvercle qui nous emm.. et qu'on ne remet jamais aussi isotherme qu'il soit !
