This is a great ruler. It is hard to find one nowadays that starts immediatly at the end like this one. I use it all the time for setting violin string length, guitar string height and checking accuracy of tape measures.

I’m using it in the kitchen and cannot speak to drafter stuff. It has some give and will bend (won’t break immediately) but it is quite solid and not at all floppy.The markings are easy to read and there are tons of them. Inches, centimeters, 1/64â€. Tons.The edges are rather rough and you could cut yourself on them if you aren’t careful, but on the good side, they’ll go right through dough for you. Make enough for two loaves? No problem and no reason to dirty a bench scraper! This will do the job, for sure!It was the only stainless one I could find that went to 18 inches or I’d swap it out for another sue to those rough edges. I’m going to ask at Lowe’s if there is some way to smooth them out.So all in all it’s good. It’d be preference if it weren’t kinda dangerous.

Super heavy duty and just perfect for what I wanted it for which is cutting lattice for pie crust and such. I’m so glad I chose the 18 inch as it is the perfect length and any shorter wouldn’t have worked at all.

I have always wanted a ruler like this so I can do my baking more precisely. When I need for example, a pastry rolled out to 10"x14" I can measure clearly and make my markings as needed. It is flat, can be used on either side, is easy to maneuver. Please I bought it. And, a bonus is that it came in quickly.
