I’ve used Sharkbite previously but they’re not cheap and decided to give these a try based on reviews. They work great, just as well as Sharkbite for a fraction of the cost. Easy to install. It doesn’t come with a depth gauge but the company website gives guidelines and I used my Sharkbite deburring gauge and it worked well. Will definitely purchase again.

In working with PEX for the first time in a old galvanized steel water pipe conversion home project, I've really come to appreciate these particular valves as they are easy to pop on and off when one needs to temporarily cap or cutoff flow for work down stream. In retrospect, I wish I'd bought more than just a pair of these and, if I continue on my home's plumbing conversion project (I've was able to get many fixtures working properly after replacing some segments with pex and conversion adpaters) I would definitely get more of these valves! The one major problem I had was that sometimes they leak a bit if the flex angles of the pex are off slightly. Also, be sure to debur your pex or copper before inserting as that will wear/tear the o-rings faster. I've become much more conscious of the insertion angles and such working with these and other sharkbite connection types. Also, be aware that some jurisdictions do not allow this sort of connector in crawl spaces and behind walls. Where i live, I can use these for appliance connections that have ready access under a counter or from a closet, etc… so, for working on sinks and appliances where you can do this, I think I prefer this type of valve over the ones that need to be crimped into the pex anyways. For stuff in the crawl space or in the wall, I'm okay with the (theoretically) more robust crimped in valves I guess.Frankly, I've become more appreciative of the old galvanized steel water piping and have been trying to keep that in place where the pipe conditions and water flow are good in my house. But, as I say, if I have to replace appliance cutoff valves with pex, I'd definitely go with these easy on/easy off connection valves over crimped ones! Also, I haven't used these more than six weeks or so far… so I have not really got a good opinion on how long they last, just that it's great to be able to remove connections or cap them with these guys as one works on pex installation, etc.

Need to put shutoffs on a basement shower and was shocked when I priced Sharkbite shutoffs which I’ve used for years. When I saw these I at 1/2 the price of sharkbite I decided to try them and I’m happy with them so far. The shutoffs are in an unfinished part of my basement so I can easily see if they are leaking but so far no issues.

These work just as well as the name brand versions. Super easy to install and so far (1 week) no leaks or issues. Would 100% buy again.

Great product at half the cost of local shark bites. Simple as cut my old calves out and push these on took about five minutes and works great.
