Now that I have had some time to play with this laser, I don't have much interest in playing with this laser. It is reasonably easy to use. You could actually get by just mashing buttons. It does everything that it claims, but the reality for me is that it is just boring. The symbols or shapes it makes are both limited and somewhat redundant. A randomized display would be much cooler.I was most surprised by the size. It is tiny. I was expecting something between a motorcycle battery and car battery in size. It is more like the size of a small watch box. I guess that doesn't matter, functionally. It can even be seen as a benefit. The size definitely makes it more versatile. It just surprised me.In terms of visibility, it is bright enough at night and visible in a mostly curtained room in the day.I see this as an option for a younger kid. Or... and I say this sincerely... maybe people in my parents age group. They aren't around this time of year, but I bet they'd have a similar amusement as a preteen with a gadget like this.
