This was my daughter's Christmas present. Loved the pasta she made. I had 3 helpings. About 3 cups.

I enjoyed using this as it eventually speeds up the process of making my noodles. The thing is the learning curve to understand how to use it properly. You tube videos will be your friend.

Big fan of this attachment for my mixers. Making pasta is much easier with a mixer attachment and this one is good quality stainless steel so it will last a long time.

I used a noodle maker with a hand crank previously, so this attachment is SO much faster! Makes making noodles quick & efficient.

LIKES: automated rotation gives user two hands on pasta, 2 varieties of noodle widths, easy to change dials. DISLIKES: none to report. HOW USING: We love making pasta. I am the rolling member of the team and while I love spending time in the kitchen with my wife, pasta making always ends up being a bit frustrating trying to juggle with only one hand because the other has to be on the hand crankรขโฌยฆNOT ANY MORE! This attachment allows me to focus on the dough and the machine does the cranking. I love it. You could charge me twice this price and I would still recommend it to anyone that has been using the hand crank. RECOMMENDATION: Yes. Pasta comes out the same as my hand crank machine but it is so much easier. I love the mom and kid in the video because it gave me the idea of using this with my niece and nephews when they come over too. Good quality and value for a non-name brand part.

Works amazingly well with my Kitchenaid stand mixer. Probably as good as any manual roller. If you make enough pastas by hand, then you'll know you have to right the right firmness and softness in your dough in order for it to pass through the machine, but other than that, this attachment is a cinch to use. I use it pretty often when making pastas and I love having it in my arsenal of kitchen tools. Highly recommend if you don't want a kitchen filled with heavy machines that an attachment can replace.

This is a great attachment for your kitchen-aid mixer. It quickly rolls out sheets of pasta which can be used for lasagna or then feed into the other rollers to cut spaghetti or fettuccineYou do need to get the right consistency and thickness to use the spaghetti and fettuccine cutters, I found the pasta sheets had to be down to #1 to cut properly. You do have to do this with any pasta making machine. This is a great price, less then half price of the name brand model.

My current Kitchen Aid pasta maker attachment is one that works by extrusion - you put the dough through and it slowly squeezes the dough out into whatever pasta shape you have selected. I have used it a couple of times and the clean up needed has deterred me from using it again. Dough gets lodged in the little holes etc. Ack! And it doesn't extrude all the dough. So this Rafbar Pasta Roller is what I'm going to try next. I realize I'm comparing apples to oranges because a pasta roller cannot make things like fusilli spirals or bucatini (noodle with a hole) or macaroni. But I'll accept flat noodles for easier clean up!The Rafbar pasta roller works just like a manual pasta roller I have. You feed the dough through time and again, while adjusting the thinness until you get to what you want. Then you feed it through the spaghetti / fettuccini cutter and you have your noodles. Clean up is significantly easier than the extrusion pasta maker! This Rafbar pasta roller easily works with my Kitchen Aid mixer. Use is intuitive. However, it's a little pricy at $124.99 CAD (price at time of order). At time of this review, there is a $40 promo discount, taking the price down to ~$85.00 CAD which is more reasonable.Final note: Regardless of how good your pasta maker is, the key is a good dough recipe, based on my experience making home-made pastas.

I own the original KitchenAid pasta maker attachment and have had it for well over 10 years. This unbranded generic attachment contains the pasta roller and cutter in one. Here are some thing to know about this attachment:- This generic attachment likely will not last a long time because the underside of the entire attachment is made from plastic (to save on cost), whereas the original attachment is made entirely from metal. The original attachment is also A LOT heavier than this generic attachment- This generic attachment does work and did a good job of rolling out the dough as well as cutting the pasta into nice strands. I particularly like how the dial allows me to choose the pasta width. This dial is not something that's on the original KitchenAid attachment- This attachment cannot handle very hard dough (it sounded like it was really struggling and wasn't catching the dough, whereas the KitchenAid attachment didn't have this issue) so it's really important to make softer noodle dough for this attachment- The attachment comes with a brush to remove the flour and residual dough; never wash or soak this attachment in waterOverall, for the price and current $40 off coupon, $84.99 is a reasonable price compared to the original KitchenAid attachment that is currently selling for $229.99. There is an almost three-fold price difference and that is reflected in the quality difference between the two products. You get what you pay for. If you're on a budget, this pasta maker works and makes pasta...but if you're looking for quality parts and longevity or if you plan on making your own pasta on a weekly basis for years, then the original is the way to go.

So, my other half loves (lives for) pasta, so I decided I had to try making some. Turns out its easy, and you can add so many flavors to your pasta, making it so worthwhile! This fixes nicely to my Kitchenaid stand mixer, so now it not only mixes, but then rolls and cuts my pasta as well, and we love our fettuccini around here!
