I wanted a little warmth on my knees during cooler rides. They were light but warm enough for temps in the 50s. They did slide down a little, had to pull them up every once in a while but not bad. When riding in the low 40 degrees I put them over a pair of lightly insulated bib tights... so I had double thickness... worked great was a little warm. Good quality.

While these are nicely insulated and kept my legs warm in 30 degree rides, the elastic at the top does not hold up after less than 2 months and only a handful of rides that I actually used them on. If you wear bibs or tight shorts, they stay up if you pull the shorts over the leg warmers, but if you wear anything but skin tight shorts they'll fall down after 10 minutes of riding.I suppose a lot of people won't have an issue with this if they only ride with bibs, but those of us that don't always like to wear them be warned.
