I am using this cart for my Nucanoe Frontier 12, a beast of a boat any way you look at it. At 12ft long, with a 41 inch beam, and 75lbs empty weight, its unweildy to say the least when it's out of the water. this cart fitted up very easily to the channels in the bottom of the boat, and it feels solid pulling it around my yard even without the strap. it will be interesting to see how it handles stairs at a friend's lake house to get down to the water.Update: took it out today for the first time, and it was great. It fits perfectly in the back of the boat behind my crate, strapped down with a bungee cord. Pulled it across uneven terrain for about 50 yards and down a steep gravel ramp.

My dirty kids have called me every name in the book... The Henry Ford of Harbor Freight, Ghetto Edison, and Elon "Dollar General" Musk... I'm convinced on a core level I can make anything to solve a basic mechanical problem. I'm not saying it's right, and it's definitely not true, but deep down I know I can build a better skateboard storage system, garage shelving, and in this case kayak wheels, than I can buy from an actual manufacturer. In this case, though, I was wrong and stranded. I built 2 versions of kayak wheels and both broke on my way back to my truck on 2 separate events. I have a tandem Pelican kayak from Academy Sports and this set of wheels fits and functions perfectly. They're so good, in fact, that we can load all of our gear - coolers, tackle boxes, crates, trolling motor and battery - and make it in one trip.Listen, son, if you're wife calls you a Walmart Nicolai Tesla, "Hood"ry Ford, or cheap @$$ Dr. Ducttape please heed my advice and skip the 42 hours of labor and $400 of home Depot trips and but this dang kayak toter.Peace,Benjamin Danklin

I bought this because of price and it's comparison to the wilderness systems cart. It's honestly exactly what I need for my nucanue frontier 12. It works great, assembles easy and adjusts well. I've used it several times now and can give it an honest review. It pulls well as long as it's placed properly under the kayak. It goes through gravel and semi rough terrain w no issues. I haven't had to use the tie downs that come with it because my kayak stays in place. What I don't like, it's not as heavy duty as I would like. Be careful not to over tighten the plastic. I love the fact the wheels don't go flat but wish they were taller and beefier. It is so much better than the crap carts I've had in the past. (Folding carts) I would buy again if needed, I may even buy bigger wheels for it for much rougher terrain such as large roots and rock. But I live in a mountainous area and this does good.

It fits my old town sportsman 106 pdl perfectly. Very stable and is lightweight. The wheels worked well on gravel and grass.

I bought two previous carts that didn't work on my Pelican Bandit sit-on kayak. This one has been a dream. I don't have to compete with the big trucks and trailers loading and unloading motorboats at the launches. I can unload from the parking lot and easily get my kayak on the cart and roll it to wherever I need to be. It sits stably, straps securely, all with minimum effort. I can strap the cart onto the back of my kayak when im paddling or put it back in my car. Definite gamechanger.

This cart is light. Both runners have padded support arms. The arms are adjustable for the width of the Kayak and tighten with hand screw tighteners. The Aluminum axle tube has measurement markings so both support arms can be placed/slid evenly. The wheels are plastic. The kayak is lifted onto the cart and strapped down...just like the video shows. I roll the kayak up to the back of the truck...lift the bow up onto the tailgate and then walk back and lift the rear of the kayak and slide it up until the cart wheels touch the tailgate and then unstrap the cart and pull it out from under the kayak. This cart should work for many sizes of kayaks.

Disappointed. It’s average quality, which is fine. We bought this to help haul our paddle boat (approx) 25 yards to the lake (across a flat, cut grass lawn)and it could not. It’s fine for the paddle board and kayak but those were never the intended use. Bummer.

This will hold a Catch PWR 100 with motor & battery onboard. It can't be broken down so you effectively can't take it with you once it's in the water. So what do you do? You either leave it behind or walk it back to the car? Repeat process when you get back? Even then I was all for this trolley. It's sturdy. What I didn't expect was for the d-clamp to come undone while transporting. The smallest part was the weakest part. The strap that is attached to the wheel axle, via the clamp was pulled open by the strap thus allowing the wheel to work itself off and spill the boat, the battery (strap in bow compartment broke at impact) came crashing through the bow compartment and onto the ground. The motor stayed attached. I have only been out with this rig 3 times. I'm willing to forgive & forget the damage the defective part caused if someone would send a replacement d-clamp. My $100 kayak trolley, bought specifically because I own a Catch PWR 100, is useless without that little part. My address is on file @ Amazon & Pelican International. Purchased October 6, 2023. This is written 10/30/23. Thank you.

Nice cart for the money! Good pads and easy to put together! The kayak sits on well enough that I can move it around on gravel or pavement without the need of the strap.. I would use the strap on grass or bumpy areas just in case, but not needed for my use just in parking lots! I would buy again.. My only complaint, one of the adjustment knobs would not thread on until I cleaned out the threads... Not a clean cutting job from the factory, but an easy fix! Solid 4 star rating for this one!

Keep my fishing Pelican pwd 100 Kayak secured for easy transportation to the lake. Straps are at the wheel and keep kayak from coming off. Very light and easy to assemble.

The first time that we used this cart, it did not work well as the fishing kayak shifted forwards, backwards, and sideways repeatedly. It did not handle even small roots or obstacles well.Since then, we appear to have become more adept at using it and encounter fewer problems with it. The load still shifts sometimes on rough terrain. But, overall, it does make transporting our 60 and 80 pound kayaks (one at a time) much easier. Also, unlike the experience of several other reviewers, it has not broken. So far so good.

Loads my Yak well. Carries it without issue. Strap is a bit too long, but rather that than too short.

This is a good quality kayak cart. I suspect that the few bad reviews are from people who did not assemble the cart properly. One needs to pay attention as the assembly for kayaks less than 75lb is different from assembly for kayaks over 75lb. I used it to haul my Pelican Getaway and it worked great, on the road and rough terrain.
