I love EZ Steam. I use it to baste hems on my tee-shirts and knit tops. The half inch size is perfect. I apply the tape and then steam press it into place. Then I stitch the hems with my beloved coverstitch machine. So quick. So easy. So perfect. If they ever stop making this magical, little stuff, I'll have to quit sewing. Now let me let you in on a secret. Amazon's AI promised to tell me a joke if I wrote five reviews. Here's the joke: "Why do restaurants on the moon get such bad reviews? No atmosphere."

I discovered this product at my local fabric store, and used it to hem some stretch knit skirts that I was sewing. I fell in love with the ease of use, and the beautiful no-sew hemming. I love that you can finger press the tape in place and then peel off the backing and turn up the him and press in place. It holds very well, and makes my hems look fabulous. When I went back to my fabric store to buy more, they no longer carried it, I don't know why. So, I went to Amazon to find it, and here it was, so I ordered 2 pkgs. You can do lots more with this product like press it on the the back of a zipper and press the zipper in place on the garment and then sew, keeping the zipper attached nicely as you sew it in place. You can hem sleeves, and use it to hold down facings, or any other sewing project that you need a non-sew look, or for holding down things. It's fabulous!

I make soft sculptures. Since they are art objects, they do not get normal wear like a garment; they often integrate multiple materials that are difficult to sew together. So I thought this tape would be a good thing to try. A year after using this product, all my "seals" from this heat-activated tape have come undone. I work in a lot of sculptural materials, including fabric, and have learned the hard way so many times that a mechanical method of connecting two things is always best (sewing, stapling, you name it will beat adhesives). Heat-based bonding tapes just aren't it for a secure and long-lasting hold. I've tried so many brands of heat-activated adhesives for fabrics and none of them last over time, even if they initially hold for a few months. I now have to remake my sculptures with sewing and mechanical connections, as I should have done in the first place.

This has just the right amount of sticky before the iron to hold things in place and the hold is even better after a little steam. I've been making my own jeans and this is perfect for keeping the pockets set for stitching, both folding under the edges and holing them in place on the jeans for topstitching. love it!!

I was using tis product to hold down an already pressed seam. This did not hold. Ended up just pinning and sewing.

I purchased this item in the store, first of all the tape to peel off is difficult to separate. #2 I ironed on my granddaughter's pleated skirt uniforms for school. I ironed both sides so it would be strong...after the first wash my daughter had to take it off because it was horrible... I guess I have to give it a thumbs down for a permanent solution. Maybe it would be good for something else, maybe a one time thing...but not for repeated washes.
