Nice heavy duty neoprene fabric. Sewn well. Fits as predicted and should last many years with proper care. Good for protecting your reel when transporting and shield your line from degradation from UV light. Worth the money. I did have to look up compatibility on other web sites as Amazon is terrible with providing product specifications.

So I wrote a review on Penn Squall ii 50lw. I loved it. So I bought one more 50lw and I bought (2) Squall ii 30lw reels. Then I bought the neoprene covers to protect them. So…the size you need for the squall ii 40lw and 50lw is the medium cover. Perfect fit. The size you need for the squall ii 20lw and 30lw is small. Again…perfect fit! Anything else, I would encourage you to look at size chart. Very good quality covers hands down. Order up boys and go hook some lip.ðŸ‘

I bought this cover to go with my Penn Slammer 3 6500, ordered the large, and barely fit. It does it's job, but it's a hassle to put on. In order to get it on in the first place, I have to take the handle off my reel completely. Good thing it comes with a pouch on the front to store the handle, because there would be no where else to put it.I do like this cover, though. I represents my love for the brand with the proud Penn logo and it has amazing build quality. It's much thicker neoprene that what I've seen on a lot of other brands. If you get a reel that's on the upper end of their size for that range, just do yourself a favor and get the next size up.

I have one of these for all of my Spinfishers. They do require loosening and folding in the handle and you may consider sizing up from the recommendation. Otherwise they are a great quality cover. I do wish they were a bit less expensive, but I can say that about everything from PENN.

I received a Penn Fierce 2 6000 LL from my brother as a birthday gift and I decided that I should get a cover to protect this reel and show how much appreciation I have for what he gave me. I read reviews that said something about the cover size being too small for some live liner reels and that the Penn website was vague about the sizing. I decided to go for the XL and it was a perfect fit! It's made of thick and spongy material that will keep it protected if its dropped or dragged for any reason during transportation. I love the way it stores the reel and the lever in separate places so that they do not scratch up in storage. The only thing of concern is that the lever pouch closes with velcro and nothing else, leaving a small chance that the lever might be lost if the velcro did not engage properly.

The 50VSX has to be the biggest reel that can fit in here, it is very snug. Putting it on isn’t the easiest and takes a little finesse. Quality and appearance is great.

I gave it a 5 because it does it’s job, protects your investment of the reels and for me who likes to leave the reel on the rod it works. Took out the rod out on a choppy day and protected my reel. Would like to see a bigger Velcro, or stainless steel clasp.
