I was happily surprised that it measures both inside and outside diameters! Accurate for a plastic Caliper - I would say 1/32" accuracy or 1/2mm accuracy if you use metric side. This is fine for my purposes (measuring hoses and pipes). Product description says 1/128" accuracy - which is a joke. Yes, you can use the Vernier scale on this caliper for higher accuracy, but it's not easy. If you need that kinds of accuracy, it's much easier to just get a more expensive digital caliber. Max measurement is about 6". 3 for $7 - can't be beat!

These are accurate up to 0.25mm. The problem is that they are out of plastic and the measurement surfaces may wear off over time. Use them for measurements that do not need to be more accurate than 0.5mm and you will be happy. The price is wonderful and the idea to make them out of plastic instead of steal is reducing the price considerable. Of course the durability will not be as long as the stainless stell counter parts offer but for measurements in the workshop and household that do not need to be ultra exact, these will do the trick.

Unit of measurements are clearly printed and legible. I do not like that the calipers slide freely but they are still very usable
