I bought this to use instead of a rainstick when we sing in the choir loft. The rainstick cumbersome and requires a certain amount of space. This sounds similar and is more compact. Also it can be used without drawing a lot of attention.

It’s calming, it’s fun, it’s mesmerizing, and for some reason you don’t want to stop watching it, hearing it, and falling into the rhythm of the beauty that is this product. The size is large, but isn’t too large for a toddler to hold. I appreciate this as it feels great in my hands, as it does my 3yr old. It’s a simple design, but it’s made very elegantly and it’s very sturdy. The wood is a natural shade, smooth to the touch with banding around the outside that helps to hold and grip it. This far exceeded expectations and it’s something I don’t mind being pulled out. You won’t regret this purchase, it will enthrall you like it’s done to our family.

This rain drum works much easier than a rain stick and takes less space to use. It's made well and sounds very similar.It looks nice and is less expensive than a rain stick at my local percussion store.Happy with it and would order again.
