Daikon Radish&lt div It may be difficult to find a more colorful and easy to grow flower than the perennial sweet pea vine (Lathryus latifolius). These European natives are easy to grow and require little continuing care. Although they lack the fragrance of annual sweet peas, they add color and charm to any garden and grow well in the long days and warm temperatures common in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 8 to 10. Description Everlasting sweet peas grow as ground cover in large areas or will quickly reach a height of 6 to 8 feet on a trellis or arbor. The gray-green vines are punctuated with clusters of bright flowers in various shades of red, white, purple and pink. Blooming begins in early summer and continues until early fall if the seed pods are removed as they appear. Butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers that also provide cut flowers for indoor vases.
Sweet Pea (Lathyrus Latifolius Pearl Mix) - Perennial Sweet Pea vine is also known as Everlasting Pea or Everlasting Peavine. It will grow 48 - 60 inches and will climb any adjacent vegetation or structure with its twining tendrils. In open areas it will spread along the ground. The blooms are about 1 inch across and the plant will flower for about 2 months during the summer. Perennial Sweet Pea flowers in this mix are in shades of white, pink, and red. This is the perfect vining plant for covering up out-buildings or old fences. Unlike the annual varieties, perennial Sweet Pea vine does not have a fragrance. Like clover, the Everlasting Pea plant fixates nitrogen in the ground which will help the plant grow. For best germination, Sweet Peas seeds need to be scarified before sowing. Nicking the seed with a nail clipper breaks the outer coat of Lathyrus Latifolius seeds so they can absorb water immediately. By doing this a larger percentage of the seeds will germinate and they will sprout a few days earlier. After nicking the

I love Everlasting Peas! I have grown them for many years. They grow well and quickly, and have lovely blooms. They are vines and can easily reach 10 feet, so they need a tall trellis. Please note: these, like mint and certain other perrenials, can spread quickly, so be sure to keep them in check. My other half (accidentally?) sprayed RoundUp near my Everlasting Peas and killed them, so I need to start over. I don't know the germination rate, but with this many seeds, I will surely have all that I need. Seeds are nicely packed in a small plastic bag, and I thank the seller for selling on Amazon!

Arrived in an unlabeled plastic pouch. Had to go back and look at my orders. What happens if someone purchases more than one type of seeded question how would they know what seeds they are getting? How hard is it to put seeds in a proper envelope with a label. Also, no growing instructions. Given the price of this product, and the way it was delivered, I seriously doubt it will grow. Update-July 2024- none of these seeds germinated. Of course, too late to return. Excellent scheme to sell a product that you only find out is defective after the return window.

These are germinating fine, and as described. The only problem that I have is that the item arrived very late, over a month after order was placed.
