Osmanthus Tea Olive Will Grow in Hardiness Zones 8-11
This shrub is easy to care for because it loves the sun and does not require pruning or fertilization to thrive! Sunlight will help increase flower production which will also increase fragrance released in the air. These tiny, pale flowers sit on the underside of Tea Olive leaves — offering a discrete reward!

Fragrant Flowers that Smell of Southern Sweet-Tea!
With its upright oval, columnar growth habit the sweet Osmanthus is ideal as a fragrant specimen plant, privacy hedge, or can be trained to grow as a small tree. The Tea Olive Tree should be placed where its delightful fragrance can be enjoyed. We enjoy seeing it as a border hedge in mulch beds or small gardens. The lush, green foliage of the Tea Olive plant has pale undersides and is accompanied by a multitude of sweet smelling white flowers that bloom in October and last until early spring.

My gorgeous Tea Olive arrived today...it is beyond beautiful...bushy, full...and it's blooming...y'all...it smells so good. I'm planting it in a pot so I can put it on my southern brick patio here in Alabama.Perfect Plants is the best!!!! Their plants are always healthy and well-packed.

I've been searching for this plant in local nursery's for years but I've never come across one the right size or in good health. I'm glad I decided to go with this one as it is absolutely beautiful. Unboxing it was amazing as the scent was released into the air. Such an amazing plant!

I was so pleased when I received my plant! It was beautiful, and it was packaged so neatly; it couldn’t look any fresher if I’d bought it from a local nursery. Since I’ve planted it, I check on it almost daily to see if any leaves are dying or not, and it’s thriving wonderfully. I love this merchant and will be buying more plants from them. I wish there were more stars I could give them.

I purchased 60 of these 1 gallon osmanthus tea olive trees. They all arrived quickly and safely.The plants had many insect damaged leaves but new sprouts all seemed fine. The size difference between the largest and smallest is reflected in photos I shared. So expect different growth rates and sizes until they mature. Smallest is about 7" high, largest is 2' tall.Otherwise, can't complain. They are half the price of my local nursery.

Unable to reach anyone to try and get this resolved. Please reach out to me and do the right thing perfect plants. Update: working with a truly good rep @ Perfect Plants to resolve. I will certainly update the result.Final result- a replacement plant was sent and while I appreciate the effort, it was in even worse shape than the original. It was nice of them to try.

I purchased my 3 gallon shrub in May of ‘22. Now in March of ‘23 it is thriving in my sunny location off of my porch. The fragrance is enchanting. This bush was literally transferred from pot to soil with minimal concern. It was watered heavily through the summer months (not hard to do in Alabama) and now feel confident it has rooted well. The plant arrived in a large box, healthy (wow!) and packaged with care intended to survive the journey.I have purchased several more to plant around my yard. Tea olive is a natural mosquito repellent and a true evergreen. The rooting of this bush is shallow, so it is safe to plant near structures. We’ll draining soil is a must. Perfect for sandy southern climates.I cannot say enough how pleased I am with this purchase.
