It is difficult to review a popsicle stick without putting some Good Humour into the review. I use these for epoxy, plaster, silicone, and other material mixers and spreaders. I also use them to fill minor cracks in projects, to fill stripped screw holes, and even for light structural members! I cannot fathom why some reviews complain about these breaking - I have broken more than one 3/4 inch thick hard and soft wood board with my bare hands by careless handling. Others complain about crooked sticks - these are made of wood people! All wood, no matter how it is cut or produced will expand and shrink with humidity and temperature changes. Once you have planed, sanded, and most importantly applied a sealing finsh to reduce water movement the wood is more stable for a longer period of time, but never perfectly immobilized. If you break these twisting to get an ice cube out of a mold, it was your fault for not having a better mold. Seriously, you need to see if you are making your popsicles with hard water which will leave increasingly heavy layers of calcium deposits in your mold. The same deposits lock to the ice crystals and hold tighter and tighter as time goes on. Try washing trays and molds in white vinegar and cold, never hot, water to minimize calcium deposition. Also dry with a towel to removee as much rinse water as possible. Best of all was the complaint that these did not even come in a marked box with the producers name and logo on a label. These are wood sticks. I never saw a tree anywhere that required a label with "Mother Nature" printed on it.FWIW, I keep mine in the original shipping box with cover torn off in my studio, where temp and humidity are fairly constant. If I put these outside, in a garage, or in a kitchen where heat and humidity are never the same my sticks might very well twist, bow, and even split eventually. If you want to preserve these sticks prior to use, keep them in a climate controlled environment away from any source of water vapor, and ensure a humidity of 50%. If using for frozen treats, do not re-use them. If using for model or art construction, once in place seal them immediately. If using for mixing and spreading consider the starting and ending viscosity of your mixture. If these are breaking, you need to get a hard plastic, netal, or even a thick silicone spatula to do the job. Last of all, remember that no two pieces of naturally grown anything will have identical characteristics of strength, expansion, or others. IT'S WOOD, so YMMV.I recommend these as a great value for the price and general funtionality.

Bought these for kids crafts and right out off the box 75% of the sticks were bent, had knots in them or were misshapen. I’ve bought these before and had a few like this. This is the first time we had almost the entire box like that. Will not be buying these again. Not worth the chance of getting a box of poor quality sticks when the kids are trying to do crafts.

There's not a lot to say about 1,000 popsicle sticks; they provided what they said they would provide. That being said, keep in mind that a small percentage of them are not going to be uniform (slightly bend). This wasn't a big problem when they were bend in the forward/backward plane but some were also warped sideways. We used these for our daughter's arts and crafts projects and glue tends to straighten out sticks bent forward or backward but using anything warped sideways really skewed the project. You will need to toss a small number of these out if you want to use them for something visual and not just for making popsicles.

The sticks were not flimsy and did not splinter. These sticks were actually pretty smooth and definitely worth the money.
