I use this as a base for baking bread in a large Dutch oven. The stainless steel is strong enough to support the weight of the loaves, and the perforations are very smooth, so the loaves do not stick to the surface as they bake. I custom-trimmed the piece using a jigsaw with a metal blade, which was quite challenging due to the quality of the material. Additionally, this material must regularly withstands temperatures approaching 500°F, and I have not experienced any warping of the metal.

I was concerned when I read that some got theirs bent but mine was well packaged and very flat.They even put fitted plastic corner guards on so it couldn't damage the packing material

Be VERY careful when handling this -- mine had a few random areas on the edges that were razor-sharp, and it sliced deep into my finger when handling it. Also, I ordered two sheets, and both are significantly warped. This probably wouldn't matter for a lot of applications, especially those that will be screwed to a flat surface. However, for my application I needed sheets that were perfectly flat.
