This works exactly as expected as an oil catch and hold container. I will say one thing though, the top is really shallow so if the oil doesn't shoot directly into the drain hole it's going to splash all over the concrete and you!

This is the perfect oil pan for draining the oil in my Dodge ram 1500. I can get a few oil changes before I even have to take it to the auto parts store to recycle the oi. good no leak construction.

This oil drain pan is so long and useful for whenever I work on certain trucks. I just position it under one location and drain the oil and replace both fuel filters and the oil filter without worrying about the liquids spilling onto the ground. You can store the drain pan plug along with other tools on the flat end of the drain pan for easy to reach tools when needed.

Horrible. Not deep enough to catch a stream of oil coming out. I’m a pro at changing oil but this thing isn’t deep enough. What a disaster. Do not buy.

The oil container is made from sturdy hard plastic. Its strong enough to hold hot motor oil. When i drained mine used oil the temp. was a little over 140F. It held well. I had no oil leaks. The main and only trouble comes from the very shallow basin where the initialsplash and speed of oil drain can and will overwhelm the protective rim and will spill some oil. So be prepared! If you still decide to buy it, you better modify it like i did with taller walls that will prevent oil from spilling out! It has two very comfortable handles. Its still a good value for the money. Like i said, it has only one drawback! Good functionality and good size!

I’ve started doing my own SUV oil changes. I jack it up and place it on jack stands. It’s very hard to control the flow of oil that shoots out hard at fast. I place a smaller pan inside this giant one and place it under the drain plug. It sits on a big drip tray. Placing the oil in a container for recycling is easy enough but the two pans do need cleanup. Works better than having to clean oil off the driveway. Very well built.

We replaced one of these purchased from Canadian tire that wore a hole through the bottom due to being thin. This one is twice the thickness and not flimsy at all. No more oil on the floor!Would recommend to anyone!
