Review of CAR ROOF RACK, EVA SOFT OVAL CAR ROOF RACKS sold by PerGar Store.I recently purchased a Subaru Impreza that did NOT have a roof rack. I needed crossbars to carry my kayak and surfboard. After looking at aftermarket roof racks from Yakima and Thule, I ended up buying Subaru OEM crossbars; but I needed cradles to cushion my kayak and surfboard on the crossbars.Yakima and Thule sell cradles specifically designed for kayaks, but they are expensive. I had used foam kayak cradles before so I knew that they worked and were significantly cheaper.There are a number of foam kayak cradles on AMAZON. It was hard to figure out which one would fit my oval shaped Subaru OEM crossbars. The product description did not clearly state the size of the opening that wraps around the crossbars so I just looked at the pictures and bought one that had an oval shape.When I got it, I measured the oval opening (2 inches wide x 1 inch). I knew my Subaru crossbars are 2 1/2 inches wide so I thought they wouldn’t fit and was prepared to return them for a refund. When I mounted them on my Subaru crossbars, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit perfectly.I wouldn’t drive at highway speed with these foam cradles on the crossbars without it being securely tied or strapped down with a kayak, surfboard, etc.If you need something relatively cheap to cradle a kayak, canoe, surfboard, etc. on oval shaped crossbars, this is a very good choice.
