They were little loose on box store 4x4 lumber, but over all good quality very easy to work with.

I am very happy with the overall outcome, but there are a few keys things to be aware of:1. The frame on the foot for the posts is not always squared so when anchoring the foot, look at the position of the frame over the bottom piece.2. The anchor pieces do not align to the US metric system so a 3/8†bit was too small and the 1/2†bit was too big. I ended up purchasing my own anchors.3. Have a lot of shims available. Depending upon the width of the wood, you may have a lot of spacebetween the wood and the frame. This can affect the leveling so shims will be extremely helpful.I am happy with the end result. Overall it looks really clean and sharp.I modified 4 of the 3 way pieces to slide them over a single post so I could expand the pergola with multiple heights. This turned out well too (would have loved to have found a pre-made option for this).Overall I would recommend this product for the value.

Would work amazing for a pergola but I used to build a chicken run and it turned out exactly how I wanted and made the entire thing easy to build and sturdy. Love these brackets!

These are much larger than a 4x4 post. They have a ton of room to move around and need shims to center the post and fit snug. The material and finish are good quality.

they are about 1/2" larger than a regular 4x4 post so it's like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. sloppy as hell and almost no way to sturdy it up. if you try and tighten the screws from both sides all it does is bend the metal bracket. the screws they send with the kit are crap and the heads will strip out before they ever tighten.

Corner brackets look great and made from strong material but are too small for my 4x4 posts. Also the package contents state there should be 4x pergola corner brackets and 4x pergola base plate + accessories. Received the 4x corner brackets but did NOT receive base brackets.
