Installed to replace my old PerTronix which failed after 20 yrs of operation. New one installed easily but had to remove the distributor as the new module has slightly different mounting plate. Fired right up!

On November 8, 2014 I installed the Ignitor to upgrade my FJ62 point system, the Pertronix presented problems to start the engine and explosions, I adjusted timing and the spark plugs gap , the explosions decreased, and still starting problems, on November 14, 2014 the system presented misfire and explosions and stopped working. (It was the first time in 21 years that my FJ62 let me stranded on the road). I had to install the old point system again, and now my FJ62 works fine.... at least for me the Pertronix was a very bad experience..... I returned It to Amazon and now I am waiting my money back....

Dosent fit a 1977 landcruser 2f Not even close Wish they would review their fitment before they sell to unsuspecting buyer. Just a waste of my time. Pertronics otherwise is a vast improvement to points for sure. But it’s gotta fit

After having spark issues during cold starts on my fj60 I swapped to an fj40 points distributor and replaced the points with the pertronix. Starter barely even cranks and she fires right up again! My ONLY issue with the pertronix is only one bolt hole lines up, i very precisely opened up the other beveled hole to use 2 screws total to attach the plate. Very happy to have my truck back!!

Ignition module made a big improvement in performance. Truck starts, idles and runs so much better. Installation was straight forward just be careful not to drop any of the small screws into the distributor. Installed in a stock 1973 fj40.
