After a little hesitation going to these I installed in on our '48 cub. Definite improvement. The install is clean. As others state, the directions (like a step by step) would be helpful but the schematic is accurate and gets you there. There is also a youtube videos for the positive ground cubs. I kept ours 6v because I don't really have a need to go to 12v system. I did have to time the distributor after installation but that was sort of expected.

conversion installed easy enough ,but the description didnt mention plug wires needed to be changed found out about that in install instructions! The instructions didnt recommend checking timing it needs to be checked as part of the install after that timing should be good to go!

I just bought this tractor that just didn't want to start easy. I didn't want to convert it 12V so it was suggested to try this. Wow is all I can say. Putting this on helped me find all the other issues that was helping the hard start issue. Everyone warned me the instructions were a little tough and the only thing I found was they left you guessing on putting dust cover on. (No!). Would have been four stars but the instructions could be tweaked.

I'm a retired mechanic with a Farmall Super C, never had an issue with starting, just wanted the reliability of the electronic firing instead of points.This kit was very simple to install and instruction were easy to follow. I was impressed with how much quicker the engine starts now,and knowing that the timing won't change like it does with worn points is a plus.
