Lots of pockets in which to hide food. Our 6 year old Boykin gets excited when she sees me fill it! She has decided the little carrots are best when carried around in her mouth even when there are no treats left in it. One of the best mental stimulation toys I've gotten for her, and instead of lasting 5 minutes, she's occupied for over 15-20! Loved that there was no strong odor like other brands have had (and why I returned or disposed of them quickly)!

Do you have a dog who is tireless? Never stops moving? Is too smart for his or her own good? Is anxious during a storm? THIS IS THE PRODUCT FOR YOUR DOG.I have an Irish Setter and a Schnoodle. One is relentlessly energetic and the other is a sneaky genius. Both dogs LOVE this mat.It takes my two boys 10-15 minutes to snuffle through the whole mat. We've used it 4-5 times now and while they are better at finding the treats, they aren't much better at retrieving them. The pockets and planter still challenge them.Just a hint - the first time you use it, keep the treats easy to find. My dogs were a little frustrated because I went all in and they were struggling to find the more hidden treats. It'll also help keep the mat interesting if you get progressively harder over time.If your dogs are food agressive, buy another mat. They will be in close quarters with their faces a few inches apart.It doesn't stick to the floor at all. I sit with the dogs and hold the mat down as they snuffle so they don't pick the mat up and shake the treats out. Sneaky genius tried that trick.I have machine washed it three times now and it has survived the washer and dryer in perfect condition. I wash it in cold water with regular detergent.It really does tire them out. I didn't think it was possible to tire an Irish Setter but this mat has proved me wrong. My two will sleep for awhile after they've snuffled. If you're stuck inside on a rainy day, this is a perfect activity for them.My Schnoodle is very, very anxious in thunderstorms. When we get a big, bad storm, I load up this mat. He is so distracted by it that he forgets he's anxious and by the time he's finished, the storm has passed. He's also not a big eater but will forage until his heart's content with this mat. I like it because I know he's at least eaten something.So buy it. It's worth the price. Honestly, it's kinda priceless because it makes my boys happy and that makes me happy.

This is such a cute product. It functioned great for our two big dogs. I hid treats in it and they loved it. However, they are two bid dogs who like to chew so it did get torn apart pretty quickly. It was a nice size and easy to wash. It came with little carrots to pull out as well. A fun activity for the dogs and helped tire them out.

Good for German Shepherds and higher energy pups! I've used this three times now with about half a cup of kibble, and my 4-year-old shepherd is enjoying the hunt. He does like to pull at the fabric, like he does with his toys, but it's stayed together so far without issue. The squeaky carrots are the best part and he's even run off with them. This is a nice canine enrichment exercise to work his mind and sniffing skills. I'd say it was worth the money.

Our pup loves this mat. It has a variety of different areas to sniff for treats. The carrots are fun because they come out. You put the treat below and the dog has to pull the carrot out to get the treat. She uses the carrots as toys also. The mat is pretty durable. Our dog has not torn any of it yet.

I am giving this three stars because the mat came with a clip to roll the mat and snap it into rolled position, but my puppy decided to chew the clip and it broke off inside her mouth without me noticing. Luckily I was able to get the sharp piece out of her mouth, but it shouldn’t come with plastic pieces like this for dogs. The mat is quite flimsy and doesn’t stay flat when she is snuffling, but she really seems to love it anyway and has been playing with it since I gave it to her a couple hours ago. I would recommend, just cut the plastic clips off.

I had this simple pizza thing from the store for my little Shih Tzu mix and she loves that. I accidentally stumbled on these snuffle mats and couldn’t believe my eyes. They are adorable with so many places to hide treats. Each carrot has a squeaker and the big poof has one too. My little pup is just interested in getting the food. But, my Great Dane is all about the squeaks. When there isn’t any food in the mat she’s all about picking carrots and making all the squeaks happen. Just love this!

I use this snuffle mat when it’s cold or rainy and I can’t take my dog outside to walk and he starts to get a little anxious. It’s a nice indoor activity to give him a little mental exercise.
