- At the first bark, the PETJOY PJ258S bark collar small dog-large dogs applies a short warning tone. If a second bark occurs within 30 seconds, the tone gets intense. From the 3rd bark through to the 7th bark, an intense tone is sounded along with a static shock.

My shih tzu had fallen into the pool 3 times already, the third time he had this collar on. I had been blaming our big dog for pushing the little one in and decided to separate them. I completely forget I had set our backyard camera to record and it turns out, my shih tzu is absolutely dumb as rocks and doesn't watch where he's going AT ALL. Each time he had run too fast after our big dog and slipped into the pool. We have a gate up now across the pool to prevent him from being his own enemy again.The time he fell in with the collar it seemed like it had shorted by being in the water and I thought it was done for. I left it out in the sun and thankfully, it went back to normal after drying! I know this isn't waterproof but for anyone who accidentally submerges this thing, leave it out in the sun to fully dry and hopefully it will come back to life like ours did.Perfect on vibration feature only and gets my dog's attention every time. Now he only barks when he absolutely needs something instead of just to hear himself bark.

The device works, and arrived quickly. I had no issues with the seller or the delivery of the product. The product itself just is not a good product. It works, but is not effective. It only beeps and it goes off when any dog barks, not just the dog wearing it. So it's too sensative, and not triggered by just the dog that happens to be wearing it, which makes it less effective. It confuses the dog wearing it, and didn't assist with preventing barking. If designed to only beep when triggered by the dog wearing it, it would have worked perfectly in my opinion, because it does go off quickly. In a single dog household it may work better. However, if another dog is too close to the home, or around when worn, it would still be possible to affect the effectiveness of it.

Very impressed with the quality for price. The shock is not inhumane despite what other comments say, not that it matters for my dogs. They hear the first beep and stop immediately. The collar defaults to level three shock. Me and my girlfriend both shocked are selves at level three with no issue. Literally all you have to do is change the collar then turn the power on and it will work automatically. Also, I noticed some comments about the sensor not working properly but I have been very impressed. Not sure how they will hold up long term but almost perfect so far. Thanks

This works great but is very annoying because it is too easy to switch between two dogs accidentally. When I put the receiver in my pocket it switches accidentally to Dog number 2. Then I have to fiddle with it to switch it back when I need to use it immediately to give proper training. Since the best timing for a dog to understand a correction is within 3 seconds this switching glitch disrupts the learning for the dog. I wish they would make this in a one-dog-only version.

I loved that this remote work for both my dogs and had the option for turning bark control off and on. I like the different levels for each dog too for vibrate and beep. The issue was it would beep when they would be scratching themselves (not on neck), just walking, or playing. The function for bark control no longer works. We have had these for 10 months and primarily use them in the summer while camping.

I got this for my deaf aussie. She is a rescue dog that was a result of an accidental breeding of a merle-to-merle Australian Shepherd...thus the deafness and poorer vision....The devise works perfectly although you have to re-turn-it-on constantly. That is my reason for the 2-stars. After only 5 minutes or so it reverts to a non-use mode...maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I have to constantly reach down and hit the on button on the collar itself to make it work. That renders the product useless.. I need something that remains constantly on for hours as I train her and hike with her. The battery charge life is very good..it ladts! Everything else works great but if the unit doesn't remain functional for more than a few minutes at a time its useless for my purposes. So frustrating..I'm using this for her safety and to train her to come when called...I need something besides sound since she is deaf. She does respond to the vibration and I reward her when she comes...but then she gets too far from me and I have to run to retrieve her only to find the collar isn't vibrating any more and I have to re-start it. If I'm doing something wrong I hope someone can offer me advice. Its useless to me as is.

This product performs perfectly for my needs. We have 2 dogs that like to bark and the vibration setting on the collars remind them not to bark in a gentle way. We have had great success with this and would highly recommend this product. The price point is fantastic for a good quality training collar.

This product has zero instructions, once I finally figured it out and turned it on (zapped myself) to check that it was working. Put it on my dog and NOTHING! No beep no sound at all no zap. Checked the sensitivity settings and it was on the most sensitive. It did absolutely NOTHING! Then when it finally did a warning beep it wasn’t for barking, my dog shook his head and it beeps? Like wtf? I don’t want my dog to learn that shaking his head isn’t okay. I wanted it for his barking, and I let him barf loudly to see if it would trigger, and nothing happened. I hate that I wasted so much money on this thing to have it sit as a paper weight collecting dust.DO NOT BUY IT! It’s not worth it

My dogs stay in my yard, come when called and can walk trails off leash with these collars on. All it takes is a beep for them to be corrected. Have not used the anti bark function tho.

No instructions really and it doesn't have a strong enough vibration for my dog . Won't be buying this again
