Edit: it is now October and I bought this fountain (two) in July. At first as you probably read, they were great. However, over time I’ve noticed that even with the weekly cleaning, it will smell AWFUL (like dirty pond water on humid day) about 4/5 days in. I’ll open it and the filter is seemingly clean and doesn’t smell bad but the water is filthy and there’s dirt in the bottom. I double checked I was putting the filter in correctly, I am.I have two double coated, long hair dogs but with how much I have to groom them, I don’t think hair would be an issue. Plus, I hardly find hair in the fountain, just dirt. Or what looks like dirt. I’ll try to update with a picture later.I’m not sure I’d recommend these again, which is upsetting. This is one of the best pet fountain companies out there and I just feel let down on this one.——(ORIGINAL REVIEW)My dogs have had a fountain before but that was when they were puppies. Every fountain that I have looked at has either been really small or very loud. This fountain has a big tank and is super quiet! They were skeptical when I first set up (probably because they haven’t seen flowing water in a bit) but when they realized it was tasty, they drink a little more often!I love that if the water line is a little low, I can just use a pitcher to fill. However, I do take these apart to clean every week. The filter does a fantastic job cleaning the water! The instruction guide was pretty easy to use/follow! Performance of the entire fountain, I’d say is overall fantastic.I also really like the appearance and aesthetic.Only thing I would change: remove the cord from the tank.Otherwise, it’s a great fountain! Definitely would recommend!

My dog loves the cat's water fountain. Problem is, he's a massive boy with a big tongue and it makes quite a splash when he's drinking. And he drinks a lot.So when I found this fountain, it was an instant buy! I replaced this with the cat fountain and was pleasantly surprised. Here's what I like a lot about it:- Deep bowl: The inner water bowl is deeper than a lot of other fountains. This gives plenty of space for my dog's tongue and he drinks a lot faster because of it.- Outer basin: Surrounding the water bowl is a plastic shield on both sides, greatly minimizing the watery mess left behind like with other water fountains. And the outer ring catches water back into the fountain, and makes for a nice ice tray for those hot summer days!- Design: The aesthetic is very clean and the spiral motion of the water can be mesmerizing. Every component of this fountain is well made.- Quiet: I run this in my home office all day and cannot hear the motor from my position. If anything, the motion of the gentle water movements can be louder!- Large tank: Because of this large plastic basin, I don't have to fill the tank as often. The only thing I can knock this for is the pump. The motor will continue to try to pump water when there's not enough and it's not wireless. These aren't major issues, since the advantages of this fountain more than compensate for them, just some nice-to-haves.Overall, this has to be the best dog fountain on the market, especially for large dogs. This was a fantastic solution to a drooly problem and I couldn't have been happier to find it!

Our dogs are smelly and have the worst breath. We used a gravity water dispenser before and it would get so gross with debris, food, dog hair, and biofilm that we would need to wash it with boiling hot water and dawn dish soap every time we refilled it which was atleast once a week but sometimes more during the summer. This was exhausting and I do believe it caused our dogs to have stinkier breath because of the continuous bacteria build up and they drank less water because they didn't want the water once it had debris in the bowl.Ever since getting this petlibro water fountain (I was skeptical), it has been so much less work and better for our dogs. We change the filter every 2 weeks but are able to wipe the top blue part where the dog hair and debris typically falls so it's way cleaner. The water has a continuous flow which makes it harder for biofilm to build up in the water that is dispensed and our dogs breath therefore smells less odorous. This continuous water flow is also encouraging to our dogs and I notice they drink a lot more water than they used to. This dispenser looks small but actually holds a ton of water (about 2 gallons). We keep it plugged in but you can unplug it and it will run on battery so if the power goes out for a short time the dogs aren't without water. Only annoying part is once the filter needs changed the water fountain goes from silent to obnoxious with loud sound of trickling. Once you change the filter though, it goes back to being silent. I do highly recommend this. Definitely worth the money and made our lives easier.
