It works perfectly! Very sturdy and nice looking! It goes well with my 7/8 weight fly rod and holds around 100ft of 8weight fly line and 40ft of 20lb braided backing.

This reel is very fun to use and is a reasonable price. I would definitely consider giving it to someone who panfishes. The auto reel mechanism is great and adds a little extra spin to the fishing experience. Use only for smaller fish species. I can tell after heavy use the spring is starting to wear and the retrieve is not as fast but it's still a lot of fun. I would also really consider this reel for someone who has trouble reeling.

I have a 60 year old South Bend automaic and this is just as great . Automic easy to use great for Trout fishing .

Doesn’t obviously compare to any of my top end reels. But it’s a very fun reel to take to the river and play around with. Love the look of it. A great company also.
