Best real for the money. Other brands have been copying this design for years. Excellent machining, fit, and finish. More affordable than Hatch, lighter, better drag, and takes more of a beating. Super high quality reel while maintaining a very utilitarian feel to it. Won't feel as reluctant to abuse this reel as you might with Abel, Hatch...

Best reel i have! I have 200m dacspun backing and a 9wt line on it and have room for more line.And the reel have a really good brake you will get the fish safe and sound to your net

I have been using the Torque 8 for about 5 years heavily fished in saltwater and dunked over 100 times because of fishing in the surf. Easy to remove the spool and clean out because it is not a sealed drag. The drag is smooth and will not let you down. Never one issue that could not be easily fixed by just rinsing off and as good as the day I bought it. The best mid priced fly reel on the market.
