I almost exclusively use this type of thing for strapping for bags, backpacks, etc. For things you will ultimately carry and they need to have a sturdy strap. I like this for that! "Lychee" simply stands for the type of pebbling on it resembling the surface of a lychee fruit. This type of leather can be genuine cowhide or synthetic - in this case, of course, it is faux leather. Regardless, the strength and durability is there, and I like the quality of this spool of strapping.The black is a good, deep, genuine black color, and has great strength when I'm yanking on it to test it. It came in a clear zip-type bag with a card showing the other colors this is available in (not included). I'm just going to hang mine on my ribbon rack for storage, personally.Overall this is great quality, it's beautiful, and it's strong. I thought this was a good price for this much of it, and definitely recommend it.

This review is for the Picheng Faux Leather Strap 1 Inches Wide Lychee Texture Leather Straps for Crafts, 200 Inches Long Faux Leather Strips for DIY Crafts Projects, Leather Belt Strip (Brown - B). The Brown B is a camel or tan color. The top texture looks good, and it is easy to sew with a regular home sewing machine. The plan was to double this over and glue/sew it, but this is strong enough to use as a single layer. The back for this color is just a little too light to be convincing as real leather, but in use for my project, it won't be exposed so I'm not worrying about it. For a bag strap, I prefer the darker colors that have backing that is also darker. Overall, a good value for a lot of strap material.

Easy to use, soft sueded back, with a pebbled texture and pretty color. One of the better faux leather products I've found so far for strength and appearance. No odor and consistent color across the whole product.You can use a sewing machine with this, or rivets and grommets. Cuts easily with scissors.Perfect for bag handles, straps, costume details, etc.

This is very nice leather strapping especially considering that it's faux leather. It feels like leather, is soft and even stretches like leather. Even upon very close examination it's very hard to tell that it's not! The material is very consistent in width and finish and is perfect for straps, handles, collars and anything else that needs strip leather. Definitely a very good product and will have me considering using more Faux leather like this in the future.

This PU leather strap is 1" wide, 2mm thick, and 200" long. It has a lovely leathery appearance on top, and the backside feels very similar to suede. I ordered the light green color, but there is a good variety of pretty colors to choose from. I love the color of the green. The strap is of a good width, length, and thickness for most craft and sewing projects...the thickness is perfect for punching through to attach snaps, rivets, or Chicago screws. I plan to use mine to embellish rope bags and purses, and to attach closures, strap hardware, and such. The color will be a nice complement to my rope colors or to add a pop of color by matching with contrasting colors (or natural rope). It feels to be of very good quality. I have no complaints and am very pleased with this item. I would not hesitate to order it again, maybe in another lovely color to try the next time.

In working on some new LARPing accessories, I wanted a faux leather that looked realistic. This is perfect for what I'm working on. It wraps well and looks realistic on both e the leather and suede sides. With 200 inches, I can use the same roll on a lot of different pieces too. It even ties well, synching tightly. I'm really looking forward to seeing what other project I can use the rest of it on (outside of a handle on a "magical" staff I've been working on).For those of you purchasing this strap for intricate craft projects: I can verify it works well for embossing and easily cuts with sharp scissors. I also had no problem using my awl to push holes through it if you're looking to use grommets or snaps! It's pretty versatile and well worth the $12.99 price tag.

I ordered this "leather" strap in black. The quality is fantastic. I'm not fond of "PU" (fake) leather products, but this strap is top notch. It fits my 25mm D-rings and slides perfectly. The "suede" side, grips when folded into the D-rings and makes a strong connection. Highly recommended!!

This is ideal for straps. It's soft, supple, and durable. It looks like the real thing! I am using it for a strap for a small travel bag and the color was perfect for it. I love the feel and functionality of this strap. I will be buying it in different colors.
