I'm not as strong as I used to be and lifting the glass version of this container was not a good option for me. This plastic one is just what I needed. It holds 4+ dozen cookies with room to spare. I am contemplating getting another to store my husband's Cheez-its in so that he doesn't have to struggle with those blasted waxed bags all the time. Another great feature is that now when the grandkids are here, I don't have to worry about them dropping a glass container and breaking it just to get to the cookies.
