I got the 1000 model so I can carry it in my vehicle as a travel set, I put 8# braid and it works great with 1/8 crappiemaxx jigs and Bobby garland baby shads, I have it paired with a 6'4 Handing miracle bass and it cast smooth good drag, bearings are good. Great value for the money, no noise in the reeling components, no flex on the reel attached to the reel seat, it's a good reel.

The picsifun viper 2000 is just an incredible reel . The smoothest of drags and well balanced . Casts great and for the money I would put this reel against $200 reels any day can’t go wrong . I have 4 and will be buying more .

I love this reel! I mated it with an ACC Crappie Stick with 10# braid. The reel handles it well. Operating the bale and rotating the reel are smooth and reliable. The drag works great, I used it to target Crappie but have caught bass and catfish with it as well.I will be buying this product again.

I bought this reel to accompany my Shimano Clarus rod in hopes it would make a nice crappie setup........ and it does, BUT it's not what all the rave says it to be. My first cast with this reel was the tell tale sign. As I'm reeling in my jig I heard a faint dragging sound, then when I hooked up on my first fish the dragging was WAY louder. This struck me by surprise because it's a really smooth reeling reel. Mind you, this was only an 11" crappie......maybe 2 pounds. With this reel having 10+1 bearings, there should be NO dragging sounds. Hopefully Piscifun fixes this issue. I'm gonna take mine apart to see if I can fix it, but overall it's a decent reel for the price. If a faint dragging sound doesn't bother you, I'd recommend it, otherwise, I'd choose another option.Edit: Piscifun sent a full refund. Since I wasn't happy with my reel the made it right, so Im changing my review. Piscifun has great customer service and strives to make their customers happy. Thanks Piscifun.

It is very smooth operating and well built. It casts much better then similar brands I have purchased in the past, and has a nice look to it.

Very smooth. It handles fireline very good and will cast a mile. Great reel for a lower price.

I have used and abused this reel in every creek within 50 miles of me. It pretty much lives in the back of my car so if I see a sweet spot I can pull over and fish. I bought the 1000 and put it on an ultralight pole. I crushed the bail while loading some stuff in the back of my car and I need to replace it with itself, because it’s awesome and cheap. Surprisingly good bearings and function for the price. I had a green one, but now I’m ordering the purple one!

I love these reels but I have to give the seller big praise here. I had an issue with receiving reels that was not the sellers fault, received an opened package that was missing a reel. I notified seller and they had a new one at my door unbelievably fast. Amazing customer service here! Will do business with them always.I have been using these viper x and carbon x reels for my guide service for a year now without issue. They are very smooth, durable and tough. My fishermen love them.

This reel is incredible value for money, I've paired this with my Daiwa 1-3kg rod and it's a perfect balance, 11 bearings so very high end for the money.
