I got these as a promotional item and because I always like trying new cutters. They seem fine, the cutting wheels are sharp and cut well, I just don't like the swivel head vs. a stationary head. I feel like there's less control while I'm cutting. The grip is also a bit large for my comfort. That said, they're decent cutters and easy to use.

These are cutting very well for me. I have not used a brand name pistol grip glass cutter so I cannot give a comparison review, but I am quite pleased with this glass cutter. My previous cutter was an old fashioned (1970s) red handled metal deal with some teeth at one side and a round ball at the other end for tapping the glass after you cut. It was old and used and didn't do a great job...I couldn't tell if I was doing something wrong or if the tool was beyond use. So, I am comparing these to my old knackered cutter.I also am not giving testament to the ability for the handle to hold oil without leaking. From what I have read the handles always leak, name brand, non-name brand, it does not matter, you fill a handle with oil, you will get a leak or spill. So, I am opting to dip the tip in some light machine oil before scoring my glass. This is working out perfectly for me and I am not risking a spill or leak which would leave me with a mess and wasted oil.I made several scores on some glass. I tested a straight line first, and a relaxed wavy line next. I tested thin clear glass and a heavy florentine textured piece of glass. I was able to snap the two pieces apart with my fingers after scoring. I didn't even use grozing pliers. I am not sure if this fact is really proof of a job well done by the cutter because this is a new hobby for me, but it felt like a good test to me.$9 for the set of two cutters seems like a great price given the cost of a brand name pistol grip cutter. There is a negative in the fact that these do not have alternate tips for thicker glass, but I do not plan to cut anything thicker than 6mm.So far, so good! These are so much easier to hold and manipulate than an old fashioned cutter. You have better control and can put more even pressure in this position than by holding a straight handled cutter which requires pressure from a finger on the shaft. The tips also swivel a small amount which aids in creating a score with even pressure the whole way along.

These pistol grip glass cutters are amazing at scoring glass. They also are very comfortable to hold. Usually I use a pen style cutter, but I wanted to give these a try. Unfortunately, they also leak oil out of the bottom like crazy. When I tipped it up to take the picture of the cutting wheel, oil started to ooze out of the screw. There is a rubber gasket for the seal, so I was surprised. It wasn’t over tightened, it just leaked. Also, the oil was contaminated with all sorts of plastic “boogers†inside the cutter. Since they were only $9.99 for the two, I wasn’t too worried about this clogging up the oil or hurting the cutting wheel, but still, this is a problem. I really like how these score hard glass, but the leaking issue is enough to make me not want to use them regularly. I did only fill one and try it, hopefully this one was just a manufacturing defect and the other one will not leak.

I recently purchased the Pistol Grip Oil Feed Glass Cutter and I am extremely pleased with its performance. The tool is very well-made and feels sturdy in my hand. The tungsten cutter heads are sharp and make clean, precise cuts on both stained glass and mirrors. The oil dripper is a great feature although I choose no t to use it because I prefer to dip the end in the oil instead. I have used this cutter on glass ranging from 1-6mm thick and it has performed flawlessly every time. I highly recommend this tool to anyone looking for a professional glass cutting tool.
