I bought this more for bread than pizza since I make baguette two or three times a week. It's marvelous! Once heated to the 500 degrees needed to make baguette "pop," it does the job beautifully. I've also used it to make flat bread pizza and the crust comes out deliciously crisp. It is heavy which means it holds heat well and for a long time so remember to let it cool before removing it from the oven.

We had one of these years ago and paid top dollar for it (brand name) and it broke after a small amount of time. This is twice as thick, half the price and works even better. It's made well, very thick and the right size. Didn't smell, easy to clean, holds heat well. I'd buy it again.

It does a better than expected job as a pizza stone, just remember that it takes some time for it heat up before you use it. Once hot it stays hot (be careful) - it’s heavier than one might expect (think solid, not unwieldy). It does stain easily but for me that’s not a real problem- just keep in mind that it’s a kitchen tool and not a display piece.

Yes, I was hesitant because it didn’t have many reviews. But figured for the price, if it was garbage, I could always return it.I have ordered quite a few stones from Amazon that have high rating and hundreds of reviews, but they all have had problems that I couldn’t live with.1) Many were thin and had poor heat distribution.2) Gave off a horrific toxic chemical smell when heating up in the oven.3) Were way over pricedThis stone pleasantly surprised me. Absolutely no toxic smell when heating up, thick and great heat distribution and finally a reasonable price for a none commercial grade stone.Some of the key things you should know!1) wipe the stone down on both sides with a damp (not wet) towel before 1st using to clean it off.2) It likes and can handle high heat!3) Because it’s a fairly thick stone, it absorbs any moisture in the crust while cooking and gives it a nice crispness to the pie.4) Add cornmeal to the stone right before sliding in the pie. Cornmeal acts like tiny ball bearings that allow you to easily slide the pizza onto the stone and also allows you to rotate the pie for even cooking.5) Absolutely only use water to clean the stone. No soap at all! You should only have to wipe the stone down after using it and if there is any stuff sticking to the stone, use a steel scraper or in a pinch a kitchen knife to scrape off any stuff.Absolutely worth every Penny and would buy this stone again!Photo of my 1st time using it and the pizza came out tasting amazing!Ps my wife is Italian and she is very very picky about her pizzas. Haha

I was watching videos about how to make sourdough bread and a woman made a loaf with the pizza stone and one without, the one without burned on the bottom a little, so I brought this and it works great and is easy to clean, it cooks very evenly, I love it thanks.

After we bought our Blackstone griddle the pellet grill was really just sitting there and we had even contemplated selling it or even giving it away. But, as I was making pizza one week, I had a thought of grilling it in the pellet grill for the wood burning oven effect. After we slipped this stone onto the rack and heated the grill up to it's highest setting, my pizza's came out better than the pizza houses here. We also got a pair of pizza peels here to make it even easier.My suggestion is to make the dough and place it on some parchment paper. Place the parchment paper on the hot stone and let the pizza cook for a few minutes before removing the paper. Then let the pizza finish cooking. Then I place the cooked pizza on the parchment paper again and cut it on it. This all makes the entire process easier and the clean up a breeze.Some bragging to follow: I also, mill and sift my own flour. Once I make the dough I let it sit in the fridge for a minimum of 24 hours but a few days is even better. The false sourdough taste amplifies anything you can get from a restaurant unless they are also doing everything from scratch. Don't even think about frozen pizza after you take your pizza game seriously.Food is one of the enjoyments the Lord gave us, it nourishes us and brings us close with friends and family. Give a care about what you serve and what you eat. The simplest foods can be made the best with the best ingredients and care given to the process.

La piedra aún enharinada, asà como la pizza también, bien enharina, SE PEGA A LA PIEDRA Y NO SE PUEDE DESPEGAR! Mal material.
