If I’m out on ice snowmobiling or ice fishing or just walking, I have these accessible around my neck. Regardless of how thick the ice is (especially these days) there are always areas that can be sketchy without being apparent. For the price, it’s crazy not to have them and the cheapest insurance I ever bought. Get an extra set for your companion(s).

Although I have not had to use these, and hope I never do (knock on wood) -I like that they fit together snuggly, so you can wear them around your neck, so they are handy in the event of falling through the ice.They also seem to be sharp enough that they would provide a decent amount of grip.

I only wish the lanyard was a bit more flexible (not so stiff). Kinda hugs the neck a bit too tightly.

I take my dog out for runs on the ice/lake every day. This will save us if we ever fall through the ice. Several people have fallen through the ice already this winter

I purchased for my boyfriend. I liked the quick shipping, and price. It was better than him going on the ice without them. Lanyard was a bit short to wear through his sleaves, but he kept them in his cargo pocket.Would recommend adding a piece of 1/8 hose over the spices to keep from putting a hole in anything when in your pockets.Good product for price.

They seem pretty good, I am glad I got them, I will always take them ice fishing with me, and I hope I will never have to to use them, but if I do they'd save my life
