Aqua-Buff 1000-F Fast-Cut Compound Aqua-Buff 2000 Compound and Polish *Make sure you select the right product for your project. For projects using Aqua-Buff 1000F apply as follows: Spread Aqua-Buff 1000-F Fast Cut Compound on the surface to be compounded with a brush or cloth, several square feet at a time using one-half the normal amount and mist the surface with water. Immediately machine buff with a clean, damp compounding pad. Repeat the process to eliminate scratches from exceptionally hard surfaces. Should the compound become dry while being buffed, re-wet again by misting the surface with water. Follow with Aqua-Buff 2000 For projects using Aqua-Buff 2000 apply as follows: Spread Aqua-Buff 2000 Compound and Polish on the surface to be compounded with a brush or cloth, several square feet at a time using one-half the normal amount and mist the surface with water. Immediately machine buff with a clean, damp lamb's wool-type pad. Repeat the process to eliminate scratches from exceptionally hard surfaces. (Or if you haven't done so, first use Aqua-Buff 1000-F or 1000-W Fast-Cut Compound). Should the compound become dry while being buffed, re-wet again by misting the surface with water. Note: For best results, use machine buffers that generate at least 2500 rpm for Aqua-Buff products.

1 kit did the bottom of my 42 year old 18' Scow. It went from very rough & oxidized heavily to shining. Buying a second kit to do topsides.

I use this to buff a red Carolina skiff that had moderate oxidation this product is a pain in the butt compared to normal compound. I had to reapply to the same section 4 times to get results. It technically took me four times longer to do my boat than normal, and it flung everywhere making a mess and left tons of squirrels that I could not get out.

While the Aquabuff 1000 and 2000 work, it sticks to brightwork and other fiberglass areas of the boat when the product is spun off the buffer. The boat has been power washed twice however the aquabuff spots are still there. I've had to resort to a clean rag with denatured alcohol and a lot of elbow work. I had high hopes this product would make restoring the dark navy areas of my five year old boat a reasonable task. The buffing is fine, it's this splash that is absolutely horrible. My boat looks like I took a paint spray gun and fired it off over the boat. I used a product from Canada before this which was not aggressive enough though easy to clean!

The best i've ever used for a more aggressive polishing.
