I was absolutely delighted to find this pool pole. I hate my twist-to-tighten poles as they always seem to loosen and collapse during use -- or they are twisted so tightly they are hard to loosen and adjust the length. I've always wondered why there weren't any tab-lock style poles available for pool use - so this one is an great answer to a long-standing personal wish. That wish is well executed as the pole is very well made of good quality materials. Each section of the pole is study heavy-gauge aluminum. The bottom section is coated with a black finish that seems very durable; I was worried that it would scratch from contact with the pool coping, but even a deliberate rubbing to test that potential problem produced no visible marks or damage! I was also worried that the wing-screws that attach the pool-tools adaptor to the end of the pole would rust, but they are totally non-magnetic so I assume they are good quality stainless steel.Function is great: the sections extend smoothly and easily, and stay securely in place when locked-down by the tabs. The pole is good and rigid when fully extended. The rubber grips are a nice touch to keep the pole from sliding out of your grasp. An added bonus is the pool-tool adaptor can be removed and the pole used with standard thread household mops, squeegees and other tools. One minor nit: The pool-tool adaptor is a heavier gauge aluminum and thicker than most pole pools. While this is good and desirable for sturdiness and durability, it also makes it harder to depress the tool retention buttons into the engagement holes enough to release the tool from the pole. Keeping a small screw driver or small diameter wooden dowel on hand readily solves the problem and makes pool-tool changes easier.Bottom line: This is a huge improvement over twist-to-tighten pole pools. I love mine and highly recommend it.

This is a very nice telescoping pole that can serve double duty around the pool with a brush or net attached, or elsewhere around the house using the screw attachment. The pole comes pretty much intact, and with a screw-on attachment for mounting pool brushes or nets. It extends quickly and easily, and is still pretty rigid even when extended. It has two foam rubber handgrips, and those are comfortable (and in the summer will cut down on having to worry about holding a blazing hot pole); the handgrips, though, are not adjustable as to their positions near the top of the pole. The pool attachment screws on the threads at the end of the pole and a couple of wing nuts lock that in place. Note, however, that the receptacle for the clip-in pool attachments is shallow; if the shaft of your pool attachment is longer than about 4-5/8" the locking pins will not reach the holes on the pole. Shorter shafts slip in and lock just as they should. Without the pool attachment you can use the threaded end of the pole for any number of thread-on attachments, increasing the versatility of this pole. It is perhaps a bit pricey, but given its versatility and quality, to me still represents a good deal.

This pole is certainly far heavier-duty than the corrugated ones you typically see with a pool net from your local hardware store. It has 3 extension sections and looks to be all aluminum. The pads on the user end are nice and soft, what you would hope to find. The screw thread on the business end will let you attach almost anything... a brush head, window cleaning pad/squeegee, etc., so you can get creative finding uses for this. My first task for this is helping hang 8ft long light fixtures in the garage by myself. The locks hold each section perfectly tight and secure. The locks are not adjustable, so if they get loose, it's over. Overall the injection molded parts looks kind of cheap, but that doesn't affect function, of course.I don't really know what the attachment that comes with this is for.

This pool pole when retracted is small enough to fit inside a large storage box, and longer than most pool poles when fully extended. The aluminum material is thick and strong, yet still lightweight enough for ease of use with little fatigue. The adapter provided allows for use with pool accessories that clip in, as well as accessories that screw in. The plastic hinges are durable enough to maintain the pole at the desired length, allowing for you to twist the pole without loosening. A great item to have item your pool maintenance tool set!

"Working at a resort with three stunning pools, keeping them pristine is a top priority, and I'm constantly on the move between them for maintenance. My previous telescoping pole let me down after just a short while – it couldn't handle the regular wear and tear. This Pool pole one-piece design – no assembly required! Crafted from sturdy aluminum alloy, it's built to last, perfect for the rigorous, daily use I put it through. The integrated construction is a true blessing; I simply unpack, start cleaning, and when I'm done, it slides effortlessly against the tool shed wall, ready for the next session. No fuss, no hassle, just pure efficiency."
