Purchased an inflatable Hot Tub for the lake place. First fill (unfiltered well water). Added chlorine for the initial shock and the water almost immediately turned green, then within a few hours brown and eventually black. Water has a very high iron content. Dumped the water and refilled using the POOLPURE filter. Water clarity, repeating the chlorine shock and then adding bromine tablets the next day, was crystal clear. The filter removed all the iron and other mineral deposits and eliminated all the water odor. Manufacture claims the device will filter up to 8000 Gs. So time will tell> I suspect given the very high iron content it will not last the full 8000. In any case this product is superb and highly recommended for well water, hot tubs and/or pools!

I needed this to refill my pool when bypassing house filter and water softener. This filter does not work well if you have well water if you turn off the water softener. It got clogs in minutes due to sediments. It will only work if house filter is left on and not bypassed. Otherwise, this product is amazing.

filled my 10,000 gallon pool despite 8,000 gallon rating.. Started at 250 gallons per hour then slowed to 175 gallons per hour about half way through. Took about 48 hours. Water looked pure and very clear. I bought a second one and have installed it. I have not used it much yet but it seems to be working equally well.

This past weekend was hot tub drain and refill. This hose attachment came quickly and worked perfectly to fill up our hot tub. It was easy to use and filled quickly. Highly recommen

I purchased this to fill my 250 gallon hot tub and it seemed to work well and the water was clean. Three months later I drained my hot tub and needed to refill, but the water filter was clogged—I barely got a trickle out. So, for $30 I only got one fill on the hot tub which is only 250 gallons. No where near the 8,000 gallons advertised. Extremely disappointed.

I was skeptical but I actually love this handy filter. I add it to my hose when adding water to my pool. I also refill my water jugs for my counter top ice maker. Works like a dream. I have well water and sometimes it’s not as clear as I like. This also help keep the build up from my coffee pot. The price is great compared to the 8 thousand gallons it cleans. This filter is now a necessity in our house. Water taste and smells refreshing. The screw on attachment on both ends is easy to use and no leaks.

Used this filter once to fill up my 445 gallon hot tub and it worked fine. Went to fill up my hot tub last week which would of been using it for the second time and all I could get out of it was a trickle flow of water. Thing must of plugged up internally. Not a very good value if it is only good for 445 gallons of water filtered.Problem solved. They sent me out a new replacement unit free of charge.

This product only worked with minimal flow for about 5 minutes. After 10 minutes no water was getting through at all.

Seemed like the water coming out from the tap was clear. Hot tub did not need as many chemicals to be balanced. Super easy to connect to the end of the garden hose.

worked as advertised. The water was pretty much perfect when I filled my hot tub, Did not have to add much chemical to get it leveled out. Water was nice and clear, normally I would have a fair bit of iron in my water and would leave it a brown shade, this thing seemed to clear that issue up.

Item does what it is meant to, allows water to flow through, assume it to be filtered. It filled my hot tub. However with no instructions, information, advisement whatever you want to call it included, anyone without any experience is likely to hook their hose up, stick it straight in the tub and immediately put black water into their tub. You have to run water through the filter to get the lose charcoal etc rinsed out. Now I only did it 30 seconds, looked clear flowing out, but there was a noticeable discolor on the top of the hot tub water, so I imagine I should have let it flowed better. Had the seller or manufacturer included such advisement, they would have 5 stars.

This was a gamechanger for our pool this summer. Seemed to help great for metal removal.
