Recently had a power outage - was out 80+ hours. The first day hearing might be out for days (a first for us), - did a search for how to heat hot water in car. This popped up - $32 - I thought ugg - but purchased and received the next day. $32 - worth every last dime! To be able to go to car and heat up and then ability to make hot tea/coffee was beyond wonderful, for body and mind. Also, while waiting for it to heat up - we able to warm up, as well as bringing cat with to warm up too.Heat up time - pretty much as described - 20 minutes - possibly a bit more - if so, was still under 25 minutes. Used it, hmm between 15-20 times.For those purchasing for actual travel purposes - can't imagine you would be disappointed.As an aside, this my first review, even though have purchased many items from Amazon over the years - and many worth a great review - but didn't bother. This item however, truly wanted to get the word out, especially to those who regularly experience outages during cold fall/winter and misery that comes with.

It takes about 20 minutes to boil a full bottle of water, starting at 115°, which I expected and don't mind at all. After it started boiling, the exterior bottle was still cool and easy to handle. I'm honestly surprised it works so well and I don't understand why these aren't more popular! Anyone who makes their own hot drinks for the day should get one, the price is very reasonable for the value you get and it includes a lifetime warranty!?!?! I'm very impressed

I'm amending this review. I received this item January 5, 2025. It stopped working on February 28, 2025. I used it for less than two months. I had my power point outlets checked, and they are working. The fuses are good. It worked until it didn't.This item really works, and I'm happy I have it! However, I feel I need to give you a caution. I have 2nd degree burns from using this item. When it boils, turn it off and let it sit a while before opening the lid. Even after a minute, it can bubble and splash out at you. It stays really hot for longer than you'd think - probably because the bottle is also a thermos. It has also come to a boil and the lid popped open and spouted hot water everywhere. This has happened twice, and now I turn it off before it boils. You have to watch this thing - and make sure you turn it off before it boils very long. My burns are healing but I'll have scars.

Just received but heated right up without issue. Nice Subtle color for automobile. Very handy for heading out to the stable and when we loose power!
