The chair is made well, rocks nicely and is comfortable to sit in. They are noticeably heavier than traditional camping chairs and with how the rocking legs fold is a little bulky. I would recommend the chairs if you are not planning on carrying them far.

Lots to love about these chairs. I purchased 2 of the black with the mesh backing. Here are the highlights: Pros:1. Mesh back rest provides airflow so my back does not get sweaty!2. Sturdy construction- I weigh 135 and am 5.4 and I am super comfortable. Hubby 5.7 145 and comfortable. I can see this being completely comfortable for any height/size. Lots of room and support.3. Phone pocket in the front under the seat is genius. It can hide your phone at the beach if you step away, it keeps your phone from sitting in the sun and overheating and it’s convenient!4. Side pocket for storage. We are always Chasing the shade when we’re camping. In my old camping chair that had a table on the side, every time I would move the chair I’d have to empty the table off because everything would fall. The side pocket is genius because everything is tucked away and you can move the chair quick and easy. Big enough to hold a water bottle in one pocket with smaller items in the other two pockets.5. Lightweight- I can carry the chair anywhere. It’s compact enough to save room and much better than the larger camping chairs.6. The rocker is amazing. I love rocking and it’s smooth.7. Leans back enough to enjoy the stars at night.Cons:Folding the chair can be tricky at first. Once you know how, it’s simple.I would recommend this chair for sure! Plus it arrived the day after I ordered it just in time for a camping trip! Excellent chair for the price.

Pros: comfortable seat, smooth rocking, feels solid, mesh back for hot days, solid armrests, locks into place to the rockers, good carrying bag - sleek/clean, looks good.Cons: sits a little high for easy rocking, heavier than its competitor chairs, requires a bit of effort to fold out.Compared this chair to a competitor and this one stood out as clear winner. Solid chair that should be great

I finally broke down and got my own rocking chair to take along when we go camping with our travel trailer. i had occasionally been using the one I got for my wife but it seems the more I enjoyed her chair, the more she enjoyed her rocking chair - go figure! ;-)I like this one much better. Although "oversized" (compared to other similar chairs), it folds up and fits into a carry case like a regular camp chair! It is quite robust and easily accommodates a 250 lbs man (a large friend tested it out.This chair is very comfortable a very easy to get out of, unlike some of the other camping chairs we have. And the icing on the cake - it has a drink HOLDER on the right side and a separate storage bag on the left. My wife's rocker has neither. And what is a Rocking chair when camping without a DRINK HOLDER?!?!?!Definitely a FIVE STAR recommendation!

Bought these to take on vacation for the house we were staying in. Traveled with 3 babies. Need a rocker for nap times. They are very sturdy, easy to put together. Very comfortable. Worked like a charm putting those babies to sleep. Only negative is they are very heavy. But honestly that is expected with the quality and the build. Would buy again. Highly recommend.

Very nice comfortable rocking chair. Seems very sturdy. I like the arm rest, compared to another folding rocker I bought that did not have arm rest. I have 2 for my wife and I, for use when I let our garage screen down. Now, the chair has a small pocket on the right, a bigger pocket for books on the left, and it even has small storage under the seat for a cell phone. Please practice folding and unfolding the chair before you take it out. Lol!! There were no directions that came with my chair. However It unfolds very easy. You will actually be impressed. But, the folding it back up will confound you.....unless you down load the 3 step instructions from the portal rocking chair website. Just google portal outdoors, folding chair instructions. Once you see the 3 step instructions, you will realize how easy it is. 1. Step on the rocker tubes and pull up on the back of the chair to unlock the chair from the back of the tubes (once you figure this part out, the rest is down hill...lol! ) 2. Then, fold up the chair, and lay it down on the tubes.... or, just pull the tubes up to the folded chair. 3. Put folded chair in bag.The instructions have pictures too. I'm serious, that is very easy, but if you don't have those instructions, you will not realize you have to unlock the back of the chair from the back of the tubes. Hope this helps!!

Comfortable, and easy to install. Had to put hockey tape on the bottom rungs as they were scraping on concrete.

This is a chair you’ll want parked in one location. I’m quite fit but hauling it around is kind of a pain in the ass. I use it to sit while my dogs play in the yard and just lean it against the house so the seat stays dry when not in use.It does seem more durable than a $50 one you can get at the local hardware store.

The seat is a bit too long for me and cut the backs of my knees. Rocking part is very good. I own other portals and absolutely love them. 8 in total actually. 2 other rockers that have more padding and then 6 chairs. Same great padding. When we bring them to function we always “loose them†as others sit in them lol.
